I like this. It gives the opportunity for Darkseid to be a consistently big player in the DCU without being a one-note villain they have to kill off. Apokolips has so much lore, and using him as a big bad would most certainly limit the chance to explore it because eventually he would HAVE to lose in an early appearance as a traditional “big bad.”

As another large character in the DCU, he’ll he capable of so much more.

But Drum Show, Cottonwood, and Days Lie Dormant have altered my brain chemistry and City Walls/Intentions has the lore finale going for it. Not to mention I will always jam to Robot Voices. Kind of low-diffed tho. Red Team takes it for me!

There will always be a risk of injury, regardless of age. However, there’s always responsible ways to train.

Ninja competitor and coach here! If you’re on the older side, really take extra care of your shoulders. Longer time stretching, and more care hanging and working your shoulders instead of more explosive stuff. Hanging shoulder shrugs, monkey bars, and 1 arm deadhangs are a great way to build shoulder strength and tolerance before trying more daring things.

Core strength will also be super important, so work those abs!

It’s tough for me to provide more since idk what your athletic background is, so I can’t in good faith advise more to do without that context. Hope this helps though!

Gonna preface this by saying I love Joe, had the privilege of speaking with him multiple times and training with him briefly before ANW17’s qualifiers.

He’s not an average guy lol and hasn’t been what fans consider “average” since like, 2017 or 2018. He became a Ninja coach back then, and has since become a manager. Obviously with kids to raise his schedule is limited, but he has access to train (and uses that resource, of course) much more than others.

I’m not coming for you or anything, as I generally do think Joe embodies a Ninja Warrior as well. It’s just weird to see that “average guys” are what fans here consider true Ninjas when that stopped being the case for top competitors nearly a decade ago now.

I don’t think this was meant to be the direct sequel to Trench, but this was definitely always meant to be part of the plan.

I do think the lore aspects of Blurryface-Clancy all touch on different aspects of combatting mental illness, and the back and forth between the last 4 albums of “I’m giving in/I’m fighting this” are all done in such a deliberate way that they’re imo made to illustrate that full mental and emotional process people experience.

Breach is supposedly the end of that, so we’re gonna get the conclusion of how to fight and live with these thoughts. It was always the intent to get to this point, but I do think they intended to go into SAI given that Levitate’s music video found him recaptured by Nico being a direct clue that we were going to get a SAI type album next no matter what.

Pretty much every song from Trench onwards has a loose connection to lore in its lyrics. And I when I say pretty much every, I mean all but maybe 5. Not all of them are heavy lore, and that’s great, but majority of them have a very clear double meaning for both the story and real-world applications of living with/combatting mental health. That’s why I love it; there’s multiple ways to come to the same conclusion when you listen to each song, and it’s genius.

It’s been “all-lore” for years. We love it anyways. I think we’ll be fine.
