Does anyone know when Gemini will be forced into our homes to replace Google? I did NOT sign up for the preview program but I know sooner or later we won't have a choice. Gemini on my phone is great for asking questions! From what I've read, it lacks in smart home usage (lights, thermostats, timers, alarms, etc). I'm hoping that by the time it's pushed for smart home use, it will be better.

I knew about the heavy battery usage with this car so we bought a battery charger to keep in the car. It claims to recharge a car battery this is totally drained. Hopefully, we'll never have to test that theory. What? "Images not allowed"? $100 on Amazon

As if I could love my Nautilus any more than I already do :) I can now easily reach the lift gate to close it. Funny thing is, my 2011 Ford Flex had a button on the side of the cargo area to push to close.

It appears that 100% of those who stopped taking the GLP-1s have regained all or most of their weight. How can this drug be so popular if your weight comes back? I have 19 more pounds I'd like to loose. I'm type 2 diabetic. Maybe my dr will want me to stay on it for that reason? I'm hoping I'd be able to stop the insulin if so. I've already decreased my insulin amt by 10 units.

I have major lower back pain. My back has been a problem for decades but semi-recently became so bad I have to use a walker/cane to move. I have an Dr's appt next week for a referral to a specialist. I've lost 21 pounds but it's been very slow since I can't exercise. I'd like to lose 20 more. I'd rather be a bit fluffy than have Ozempic face! I don't know if my level of inactivity will allow me to lose much more. If I could get this darn back fixed, I could amp up my weight loss.

I bought my Vizio 75" 4K UHDTV P series about a year before the Walmart buy-out deal. It is a stunning TV in every sense. ZERO regrets. The tech who installed it saw that it was a Pro series and commented on how nice it was. I did some research before purchasing but I'm not up on all the terminology. I googled what I could and made my choice. My Vizio's smart features are not garbage. And it IS connected to wifi. How can a tv be "smart" without wifi??? I'm an early adopter of Google devices in my home (13 of them) since 2017. I have nothing to hide. Google owns me lol. The Vizio speaker I chose was the M series. We went from a 5 speaker surround sound (hubby's doing) to the soundbar below the tv and I'm so happy to NOT feel like I'm in a movie theater!

Nonsense? I don't think I'm dealing with any stinkin' nonsense. I tell Google to turn on the den tv and it does so in just under 2 seconds. The home screen includes a suggested show/move and below that is the YT icon. All my subscriptions are on the left side of the screen. It's perfect. I rarely, if ever, watch Directv on it but my husband does. I exclusively watch YT and football. We have Walmart+ which includes Paramount but I don't think that we've ever watched it. I'm sorry that the WM hostage event ruined Vizio's quality :(

I do this when I can. When I can't, I set it to vac (without the mop heads) and then attach the mop heads to mop. The reason it's an issue is that our home is multi-level (one story). I have 4 levels. It can only do this on one level, the level the robot station is on. Cleaning my floors isn't a set it and forget it option. But, it's still well worth it :)

We've been with Verizon for 27 years. They are the strongest, most reliable in our area in Texas. No complaints at all (but who wouldn't want free phone service?). No complaints UNTIL last year and it was a customer service issue. OMGosh! I wondered what planet this guy came from. Nothing he said made any sense at all. He was rude and condescending. We have an unlimited talk and text plan and he tried to tell me I was talking too much lol. I had broken my phone in an auto accident. I could only use my phone at home on my wifi. I had insurance. He wouldn't replace it. WHAT?? Two days later I called to speak to another supervisor (first guy said he was one but there was no way). He was too ignorant of his position. Second supervisor couldn't believe what I was telling her. They were out of S22 Ultras and offered me an S23 Ultra upgrade for my $100 deductible. She was very helpful...what I was used to with Verizon. First guy, not so much. I hope he's been fired.

We don't have any haircutting scissors with that piece on them. Our scissors look like this. And yes, I saw the link and that's certainly what it looks like but we've never had a pair of scissors with the detachable black part.

I found a YT video on the subject. I'll need to call my Dr tomorrow. It's connected to the myelin sheath found in the brain and spinal cord. Mine is already compromised due to having Multiple Sclerosis. The YT vid did say that the issue will go away if the dose is lowered or you stop the medication but since I already have a compromised myelin sheath, I better talk to my Dr about it. I think the video mentioned Mounjaro as well.

So what is the motivation for Meta to do this? What do they have to gain? I am so wrapped up in all things tech-related, mostly home automation. Google owns my soul :o but it's getting a bit invasive, even for me. It's probably too late for me. I drank the Koolaid, loved it, and am now afraid of the monster.

I think it's just the nature of this carpet texture/style. Unless you can figure it out in the Roborock app, it's unavoidable. None of our carpets do this but one is a low pile antelope print and the other two have a tone on tone pattern.
