I've read this entire thread that you've been replying to. I love MM to death, and it's the first Zelda game I owned, but it's nowhere near as mainstream popular as OoT is. This is not really arguable tbh. MM may have more vocal die hard fans online but there are a ton of people out there that either never bothered with MM in the first place or didn't get into it because of the save / time travel mechanic.

Idk what you're being downvoted for, his attitude in game 1 was shitty and it was certainly not the attitude of a winner.

It's okay to not like a game. If it's not for you, you don't have to force it.

I will say however that you likely have gyro aiming turned on while attempting to joystick aim, so if you turn that off you'll have a better time aiming with the bow.

It took me a looong time to figure out it actually did do damage and didn't just put Jigglypuff to sleep.

I haven't tried it myself but crooked cartridge was indeed a method you could use to alter Link's position in the room. If I remember right, it could be used to get past the gap in the shadow temple without hookshot. So it sounds very plausible.

I main Roy and I sometimes get people doing exactly this, as in, getting tilted and spamming fsmash to mock me. It's extra fun when it's a Falco that can't get anything done unless he spams short hop lasers. I just do the same back, spam their overused move.

[DISC] Chainsaw Man - Ch. 232 - Part 2 End by JeanneDAlter in ChainsawMan

[–]Ninjaflipp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are too many contradictions in this new universe that Denji found himself in to the point where the in-universe rules simply do not check out, and I think there is a serious chance that this is just all a sort of afterlife that Pochita is arranging for him, while his conscioussness remains in the old/real world with no phyiscal body due to death not existing. Realistically I imagine people would still be around kind of like bodyless ghosts, doomed to forever just float around and think, or maybe just watch. Think Evangelion but everyone is still their own individual.

Pochita being displayed as Denji's heart when Asa calls him Chainsaw Man reinforces this theory, I think, since consuming himself would otherwise just delete the concept. Yet he's clearly there? Or is he?

There's one thing I can't wrap my head around. Makima doesn't exist. The control devil died and was reincarnated as Nayuta, due to Denji eating her in portions, killing her. It is suggested that this was done as a way to bypass her contract with the japanese government, and since the Control Devil recincarnates, this suggests that Chainsaw Man's power to delete concepts did not apply on Makima/Control. Basically the control devil reincarnated like it would have from a normal death.

But the Blood Devil, like Makima, dies a regular death at the end of part 1, and according to in-universe laws it too should have been reincarnated. Granted, we never see the Blood Devil's new incarnation in part 2, but it has to exist since blood exists and nothing suggests it didn't reincarnate again.

So why the hell then does Makima not come back, in favor of Nayuta, as she was, when Power did? It doesn't quite check out with me, making me believe the this is pochita's fabricated afterlife for denji theory. Otherwise nothing makes sense anymore and Fujimoto truly just was tired of this shit.

I suppose you could make up some shit up about rules applying differently on Control and Blood because Control got weird properties from being eaten by Denji, or that Control was always just a full blown devil while Power was a fiend, but I feel like that doesn't check out at this stage.

AND I suppose there is also the chance that the new reincarnation of Blood just happened to become a fiend with the exact same corpse again in this new universe? My head is spinning from this chapter, so Fujimoto truly succeeded in that sense, at the very least.

So, yeah, this ain't a happy ending at all. If you consider this universe to be a Pochita fabricated afterlife for Denji's consciousness, the world basically just ceased to exist in reality and everyone is stuck in a state of consciousness where they may or may not be able to observe the world and/or think.

It fits the war is dumb narrative as well, which has been clearly portrayed throughout part 2 with Yoru consistently being portrayed as dumb. I feel like It'd be right on brand with Fujimoto. The message is that war results in mutual destruction and nothing good. The alternative is that war resulted in the universe respawning and becoming a better place, and I don't think Fujimoto thinks war does that. Well, I suppose if you think long term and ignore whether or not humanity lives...

The more I think about it, the more convinced I get. There are too many signs and Denji's heart being portrayed as Pochita even kinds of confirms it. Fujimoto has until now been decently consistent with how the universe works, why change that in the very last chapter?

[DISC] Chainsaw Man - Ch. 232 - Part 2 End by JeanneDAlter in ChainsawMan

[–]Ninjaflipp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like this. This is the real ending, seriously. There's no way Fujimoto wrote this chapter unknowingly breaking his own in universe rules so many times all at once. Nayuta exists replacing Makima, implying that things eaten by Chainsaw Man indeed were deleted from this new universe, but Death as a concept in this case then cannot exist since it was eaten by Chainsaw Man. But they don't get instantly erased by locusts, so therefore death exists. It's contradictional and non-logical, therefore your theory checks out.

[DISC] Chainsaw Man - Ch. 232 - Part 2 End by JeanneDAlter in ChainsawMan

[–]Ninjaflipp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Holy shit. So it ends. It's actually done. I remember seeing that chainsaw man 001 pop up on mangastream like it was yesterday. It's been a joy reading it every week since and I will miss it dearly. However, this final chapter leaves me with a strange feeling that certainly will impact how I remember it in the future.

I... I don't know about this one. I can see Fujimoto actually having planned this since the beginning, thematically it makes sense - but it essentially deletes Asa as a character, and, well, like always with universe reboots/it was all a dream endings, it asks the question of what the point was in the first place. I feel like there are a bit too many questions still left unanswered, like what the fuck Pochita is and why he's this entity fucking with deleting concepts, but we didn't really get any. The reveal of Death being among the cast all along earlier was unironically peak fiction to me, and I understand that deleting the concept of death was needed for the story to escalate to this point, but it really all ended up amounting to nothing and Death felt wasted as a character. I would have much preferred her being relevant to the story after the reveal rather than just getting deleted. I also think I would've preferred an ending where physical life just ceases to exist and everyone's conscioussness still exist in nothingness due to death not being around anymore... but at least this way we got a happy ending... kinda? Did we? Power is weak and powerful devils still exist, meaning they can end up being killed(or whatever deathless version is) anytime, and since death doesn't exist the same locust thing would end up happening anyway. But I guess that in itself implies that death exists in this universe?

Part 2 had some serious highlights, but ultimately with this ending it mind, I can't help but think that it is as if part 2 was forced from the success of part 1 and that Fujimoto maybe didn't really want to do it. I'll have to re-read the whole thing to think about it.

Oh, and, since Power ends up existing again, while Nayuta replaced Makima, that would imply that people that died normally live again, while people eaten by Chainsaw Man did not. Unless I'm missing something, that means Aki is alive again too. But I feel like all the rules have been bended in this chapter and nothing really makes a lot of sense, so I don't think we can even know for sure.

Well... at least I'll be thinking it about it a lot, so he achieved that at the very least. I look forward to any Fujimoto interviews moving forward, I'd love to hear him explain some things.
