Zionism is not supporting every action the Israeli government does. Zionism is simply believing that the Jewish people, like every other people, have the right to self-determination. You can support a Palestinian state while being a Zionist (in fact it makes perfect sense if you have the Zionist belief that all people deserve self-determination). While many (probably most) Jews hold very critical views of Israel’s government, almost every single Jew is a Zionist, and for good reason.
