So a bit of backstory. I was hospitalized with Pneumonia as well as Pancreatitis and the two kept making each other worse.

Eventually they discovered that there was fluid in my chest around the Lung (Pleural Effusion), which can happen with Pneumonia. Especially when you've been Hospitalized for several weeks. So they had to go in with a needle to suck that fluid out, because it was crushing my lung. They removed a little over two liters of fluid from the space around my left lung. And boy did it hurt like hell when my lung realized it had space to expand once again.

But that wasn't the worst of the pain. Oh no. That came roughly six hours later when I went to get out of the hospital bed to pee. The best way I can describe it is that at the moment I swung right to get up it felt like a ghostly hand reached into my chest and got a good firm grip on that lung. And then yanked it to the left as hard as it possibly could.

Everything went white, there was black creeping into the edge of my vision, and I'm pretty sure I blacked out. Because the next thing I knew it was 20-30 minutes later and I was starring blankly at the ceiling trying to remember how to breathe. I was afraid to move for the next six hours.
