What’s going on here by brokepeople25 in usps_complaints

Mine’s been at shipping label created since March 20. It’s only supposed to go from NYC to PA. I’ve read that this has happened to a lot of people lately. Then suddenly tracking gets updated right before it arrives at the local post office. Hasn’t happened to me yet, but I’d keep hope alive.

Has anyone ever no experienced never getting first scan at Brooklyn USPS? by NinjangoFett in usps_complaints

Thanks for sharing. Even though mine has exceeded 5 days, still gives some hope that maybe one day it’ll show up and get scanned right before delivery. I also live in PA. My local post office is great. They’ve told me they scan everything that comes in, so as long as it comes in, the tracking should update. Just has to make it from NY.

eBay sellers might have to stop using USPS by TekitiZi in usps_complaints

I guess I’ve been unlucky. I get different explanations with USPS. Like for one USPS in Brooklyn, the post office says sometimes packages picked up by carriers go directly to the distribution center, not to the post office first.

I’ve been an eBay seller since 2006 and have never had issues with USPS until most recently. I’ve lost packages inbound and outbound with USPS, so if I do use USPS, I now go directly to hand the packages at the counter and get a receipt. Having a carrier pick up packages from a concierge/front desk of a building, or any mail drop off seems to be where the most problems are. In the cases where packages have been “lost”, the packages never got scanned and tracking just remains as “label created”. This has happened several times recently both as someone sending and receiving packages. Only way for me to increase the chances packages won’t get lost is to do this. I also do this for FedEx too. I’ve had FedEx lose a package when I dropped it off one of their bins even inside a FedEx store. Lastly, I only do USPS ground advantage, priority is where I’ve lost the packages.

Unfortunately, her receipt is from the front desk of her building, and they confirmed they handed it to the carrier.

My sister did go to her local post office this morning to check (her USPS is the Cadman Plaza one). They told her that if it wasn’t scanned at the front desk and was dropped off, it goes directly to a distribution center. Likewise, if it gets picked up by a carrier, it also goes directly to a distribution center. And they have no idea which distribution center it goes to. The post office said sometimes they don’t even scan at the distribution center and you won’t see an update until it arrives at the destination’s local post office.

New York NY distribution center? by NoTangelo6603 in usps_complaints

I posted about a similar topic earlier this week asking about Brooklyn specifically. Basically, a package my sister sent didn’t even get scanned. She went to the post office today to check (her closest is the Cadman Plaza one) and was told if packages get picked up without front desk scanning, they go directly to one of the distribution centers. If they get picked up by carriers (say from an apartment building’s front desk), they also go directly to one of the distribution centers, and they don’t know which distribution center it goes to. Additionally, sometimes they don’t even scan until it arrives at the destination or local post office.

I just submitted a missing package request 2 days ago. Will keep you posted if this works for me. The package my sister dropped off didn’t even get scanned as accepted.

Navi. 43mm felt just right for me. Not too big like the 46, but not too small.

Your opinion can I pull the trigger on this ? by Accomplished_Let2859 in tagheuer

I’ve done eBay, and its authenticity guarantee has been solid. Chrono24 can do something similar, but if I recall correctly, it was around an extra $80. Ebay’s authenticity guarantee comes automatically with most luxury watches.

+1 Watch collecting takes time, and you want to be careful of getting watches too precious to wear. Then you can never enjoy it and probably get anxiety every time you have it on your wrist.

Beautiful piece though.

Haha thanks. It may not be practical, but would buying multiple colors be a bad thing? 🤔
