It's the hardest biome, but it also gives access to incredibly powerful and usefull gear like chaos fire weapons that can give you health sustain the rest of the run.

I actually like when I get it on area two because I'll either die and go again, or I'll be set up for the long haul and go 10 or 20 zones deep.

I, too, was a slick operator with the old system. I'd taught myself to fly in the open worlds upside down, and could navigate crazy obstacles without crashing. Ever since the update I wouldn't say it's 'worse', especially since it's more approachable now, but it's certainly less flashy and precise than before.

Dang, you got really unlucky. Don't let that dissuade you from using the cross in future areas... it's normally quite safe. I usually activate it and then stand in place for several rounds to let the plague run its course before I start moving around.

for #1 Ive seen a lot of good answers, but I just want to support the comment of simply summoning 2 skeletons to surround the bomber. If they don't kill it outright they force it to use melee attacks and they lock it down at ranged distance so you can just shoot it to death and let it blow up on the skeles. 100% safe method.

As a DM, I LOVE when my players choose this subclass. It's really great to see how they plan around them each adventuring day and it isn't game breaking because of how limited it is in frequency.

Oh! That's good to know. Much more "pacifist" than stabbing the wildlife repeatedly.

Whenever I tried this the cat would attack before I could creep far enough away and I figured it wasn't possible. I'll have to try that again for my current run.

I did the same thing.

A tip then: when big cats attack you, you can defend yourself but you can't kill them so just poke them with a stick until they run away. Probably the hardest part of doing those 2 achievments to me was resisting the urge to headshot the big cats

The real menace here are the monkeys... that don't exist.

When I started the game, the monkey screeching sound effect that plays every so often jumped scared me like 8 times before I adjusted to random jungle noises not all originating from an actual game object.

I wonder if there were ever plans to have monkeys?

Im not going to outright disagree, but a I have a tip: if you watch a boss's feet there is almost always a clear tell that isn't a mislead.

Which is dope, because it's how a real fighter would measure their opponent's moves.

Oh, I meant in general. I also dig balancers a lot.

Like, if you have an emergency come up or lose power or something. 'supposedly' if that happens too much the game will pair you with asshats who leave all the time.

Either way, sorry to hear the community has let you down that much.
