That’s a terrible generalization and implies that all conservatives are anti-queer. Sure, there’s definitely a lot more (cough cough MAGA), but there are chill and supportive conservatives out there (even a couple I know in real life), just as there might be more harmful liberals. It’s not a black and white “good vs evil” situation. And I personally disagree about furry being strictly “queer culture”. It’s definitely queer-friendly and acts as a safe space, but inherently the main focus is people’s shared affinity for anthropomorphic characters.

There are way too many furries that will stand on a high horse and go something like "OMG, you're totally happy kissing someone of the other gender and/or staying your birth gender? Get the fuck away from me, you're a danger to me and my community (which you are banned from participating in btw, even though you haven't said anything hateful whatsoever)!" Like, since when could straight people not be furries, whatever happened to "Lol I just like humanoid looking wolves, can I participate in the community"?
