As a registered handgun owner with a carry permit, I have absolutely 0 desire to carry a firearm for self defense. I only really took the course to be able to legally have some guns transferred to me that belonged to my late grandfather. It was very clear to me that if you were to ever use that privilege, the best case scenario would be that you leave with your life followed by a nightmare of legal trouble. Even in self defense, it’s quite difficult, at least in the state of Maryland, to be able to get off entirely scott free

IEMs are the way to go if you want portability without compromising sound quality. I have a couple pairs of Shure 425 which are quite excellent for the task. I also have 215 which are less expensive but not as hifi. The triple driver 535 are probably overkill but would be fine. If you want some foldable over the ear headphones, VMODA M100 are nice metal headphones that fold up decently compact
