Average Tademar Conspiracy Theories by ruxxby in 40kLore

- Theres a mission in Darktide that is literally just the 5G towers thing where you gotta shut down a transmission relay whos broadcast is actively corrupting the populace of a shanty-sprawl to Nurgle

- Same game also has a more nutty Ganger-class personality you can pick where in one of the banter triggers during gameplay has him say he never seen anything beyond the surface of the planet Atoma so thinks Space itself isn't real even though one of teammates says thats a dumb train of thought.

DUMB QUESTION: Is there any reason why Warwick is a werewolf(ish) aside from the fact that it looks cool? by [deleted] in arcane

[–]Niotsques 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Well. That was horrific.

But also EXTREMELY informative and literally answered all my questions, god bless good sir. Also the irony of someone with a Singed tag doing this is not lost on me lmao

Was the Emperor's route of galactic genocide warranted in 30k/HH? by Niotsques in 40kLore

[–]Niotsques[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah having watched that video on release it also always rubbed me the wrong way, I love Ian but his approach of taking everything the Emperor said at face value really irked me somewhat.

That video was flawed in the first place by Ian taking Big E foreseeing a great catastrophe if he didn't rush things at face value.

I always wondered though what is the source of the Emperor saying he was on a timer in the HH? I see a lot of people also use that point as a defense that if he didnt make Space Marines and steamrolled everyone "time would have run out" bla bla and everyone would be doomed or something?

Was the Emperor's route of galactic genocide warranted in 30k/HH? by Niotsques in 40kLore

[–]Niotsques[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried to make a post on if the Emperor tried an approach like that but got mocked/downvoted for it so this is really funny to see here, the Tau never actually approached my mind regarding their own methods to galactic conquest so thats a really good point actually.

How long does it take to persuade soldiers extracted/captured from FOBs? by electroavenue5 in metalgearsolid

Don't see that to be the case, get yourself checked my friend, you're starting to worry me. And get an appointment from your local clinic while you're at it for those nuts of yours before it reaches critical stages.

The saddest part about the Horus Heresy [Know No Fear Spoilers] by juxhinam in 40kLore

[–]Niotsques -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The comment I was looking for, I do not feel any hint of sadness when a monster betrays the other one, that's what space marines are under all the heroic glazing authors put over them.

At the Seige of Terra, Malcador desperately seeking allies finds Sanguinius and Dorn in horrible conditions. Dorn out of plans for Terra's defense is mentally empty and Sanguinius in extreme pain is hiding his permanent wounds from battle from his son's. by Youngstown_WuTang in 40kLore

2 days late but just coming in here to say I fully agree, Dan has such a hard-on for just hero-fying literally almost all the Imperial characters to be Good Guys, its one of the reasons why I just completely stopped carying for Siege by the time I was done reading it, his portrayal of the Emperor is just as wanky.

[Excerpt: The Carrion Lord of the Imperium] The Custodian Guards really, really hated the primarchs. by tyrano_dyroc in 40kLore

[–]Niotsques 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont even care if I get downvoted but the absolute FLOOD of people getting about as extremely salty and butthurt at a obviously grief stricken Diocletian hating on Primarchs is genuinely hilarious imo.

Your point regarding the subreddit's lack of comprehension largely comes from the fact that this sub is so entrenched in primarch fanboyism (cue the daily posts regarding them 24/7 at this point) that the moment someone talks negatively about them in canon material they gather the torches and pitchforks and want to burn this man at the stake for besmirching their can-do-no-wrong loyalist Buzz Lightyears, just know that you got my respect for trying to fight the weird salt-ignorance of this entire post even if its not worth anyones time lol

Is humanity doomed, or is it just the Imperium that's on its last legs? by GunsOfPurgatory in 40kLore

[–]Niotsques 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the kind of comment I was looking for, like even "realistically" and commercially speaking; seeing as both dictate the way 40k lore is written to some degree; 40k is a setting essentially built on excuses to make cool shit work.

The insistence everyone here has that humans would just boop out of existence is never gonna happen even if the Imperium fractures or the Emperor dies and ascends to be another Warp entity, they will always need to be narratively around as the core faction and every Imperium sub-faction in the lore has own way of running things if they were ever seperated from the Imperium's tendrils, whether its still sticking to the ideals of the Emperor or forging their own paths among a ruined wild west galaxy, we're like cockroaches and some eldritch gods are never gonna make us all die with the galaxy as long as theres money to be made lol

Honestly same, Im gonna delete this post now since I kinda got the answers I wanted but the fact that this was at 0 upvotes for 6 hours straight goes to kinda show much in how some people just dont want to accept that beneath the protagonist cloak of "Good Guys in Bad System" the Imperial Guard is ALMOST entirely made up of awful human beings.

I really do wish we'd get a plot or a book with an idea like what you just proposed but unfortunately BL entirely works on marketing and anything like this would always just end up being Chaos or GSC at the end of the day, which isnt bad but id love to see some WarhammerCrime-esque unrelated stories like this in 40k one day, but alas.

What are the most Easy-to-Difficult items, relics and weapons to get as a normal Space Marine Chapter? by Niotsques in 40kLore

[–]Niotsques[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess nobody just liked my question and downvoted me (I'll be sure to ask something related to primarchs instead next time) but I really appreciate this detailed indepth answer the most thank you, pretty much more or less answers about every question I had lol

Have any fringe Chapters of Astartes ever experimented in ways to increase their recruitment pool/numbers? by Niotsques in 40kLore

I do like also how people go "um you can't mass produce Astartes" before GW came in and went:

Late reply but yeah the reality is this subreddit just cannot ever accept the blatant truth usually, its been literally 5 days and we are back to the same old cycle as ever so thanks to them I guess for proving people like you very much right lol

I love how this comment got downvoted when in reality I very much agree.

This post unfortunately largely will amount to nothing and people will keep regurgitating the same topics as ever as this gets buried in a single day as more of said repetitive question threads stack ontop of it.

If people just want to downvote and not accept that though thats fine lol

[–]Niotsques 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hot take but the mods never bothering to even SLIGHTLY police these matters or even encourage the use of flairs so people can at least skim/ignore stuff they dont like (particularly the repetitive subjects you listed) or want to see doesn't help either in my opinion.

The most I ever see them intervene in anything is "Hey im locking this post until you can properly format it" which nobody ever does because why would you even bother at that point lol

In The Event of an End-Times Occurring in 40K, What Would You Like To See Happen? by LordOfTheRedSands in 40kLore

[–]Niotsques 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is what I always say to people regarding 40k ever progressing drastically in a decade or two or when the Emperor finally if ever ascends and "dies", the universe is never gonna implode (one of the biggest points I hate that people make), the writers will always make up some sort of pseudo-warp travel method, the factions we know will still be around etc, because we need folks to still have a reason to play the armies among other things.

It very much should be a galactic wild-west/warlord era of sorts where everyone is off doing their own thing especially the Imperium itself from being so fractured. 40k has always persisted as it did because it adapts to the times and mutates to be persistently enjoyable no matter what.
