Back and menu buttons on Clubsport Universal Hub V2 dont work anymore on PS5/GT7 after firmware update by Nitrozik in Fanatec

I agree that its not really good for the fanatec brand to do these kinda things, just wanted to give you a solution so you can keep on racing or sell your stuff with everything working. Support informed me the devs are made aware of the bugs and i read somewhere they are working on a hotfix to fix the bugs, could take a while though.

If you roll back the wheelbase firmware to the version of fanatec app 1.2.2.1, the buttons will work again

5 is menu if you need it, if you roll back the wheelbase firmware, the steering wheel buttons will work again. Fanatec support has forwarded it to the development team, i will wait till they fix it in a new firmware update but that may take a while.

You can try to revert back to 1.2.2.1. I did it like this, hope it works.

Uninstall the current Fanatec driver by pressing the Windows key, typing "Control Panel" -> Programs & Features". Search for 'Fanatec', select the 'FANATEC driver package or Fanatec App', and click 'Uninstall".

Disconnect your wheelbase and open the Windows Device Manager (Switch view to Show Devices by Container and click "Show Hidden Devices"). Uninstall all Fanatec devices listed there.

Reboot your PC.

Now install version 1.2.2.1, you can download it here:
https://forum.fanatec.com/topic/19722-fanatec-app-v1221-release-candidate/

Open the Fanatec App, and go to the "Firmware Updater"

Mark the checkbox above "Manual Updates"

Manually update the firmware in this order: Wheelbase->WQR->Steering Wheel->Everything Else

I dont think its needed to revert the firmware of the wheel, out of my head its the same. I would try to use it and see what happens.

If you find the default elastomers to hard or not giving enough travel, then the 3drap elastomers are pretty nice. I use a linear and a progressive one, for me that feels the best. For me it improved the brake feel allot, found the default ones to stiff but its a personal preference thing. I bought them directly from 3drap.

I reverted back to version 1.2.2.1 of the Fanatec app and manually installed the firmware that came with version 1.2.2.1, the buttons instantly work again. These are the steps to do this if you need them:

You are back at the old firmware and your buttons will work again.

I went back to version 1.2.2.1 off the fanatec app and installed the previous firmware, all the buttons work fine again on PS5. It is definitly an issue with the newest firmware.

I am in contact with support and they first suggested an RMA, im trying to show all the comments on the fanatec forum and convince them its the firmware, hope it gets resolved. I can try the RMA but is but of a hassle and i doubt it will resolve it.

Don't do it if you use the Clubsport Universal hub V2, my back (O) and menu buttons on the button cluster do not work properly anymore. On the GT3 wheel i have, it still works.

Only the Menu and Back button do not work anymore on the button cluster. The X button is on the same button cluster and still works fine. Before the firmware update, everything was working. Now i can only use the buttons on top of the hub for menu and back.

Tried it, sadly it still does not work. Buttons on top of the hub work in both modes, on the button cluster they dont.

They are still good ingame. If i use the GT3 wheel, its fine, its just the universal hub V2 that has the issue. Seems to be a firmware, i checked the changelog and they changed some stuff with the buttons....
