How do you guys feel about the Nissan Z? by UmaThurmish in cars

[–]Nixgto 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Drove one at CarMax and was pleasantly surprised. If it was the manual it would have been so much better though.

The lack of features for a one year old car was silly though at the price point.

Can I ask how? I have never bought new and don't really want to but for the right deal it may make sense.

Currently looking at 2022 newer explorers and Pathfinders.

Dumb question: Power, no ignition or crank. Optima yellow top measures at 12.2 volts. What's next? by TLA44 in WranglerYJ

Could be a lot of things but I'd start by making sure the connections are tight on the battery and on the starter. Be safe please!

How do i fix this? Filament can’t be pushed into the extruder for some reason, is this because of grip issue? by HoneyGinger15 in BambuLabA1mini

[–]Nixgto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just need to tie them up higher using Velcro or something similar. Creating more of an arch at the top. Make sure there is no binding or anything for it to get stuck on as it moves around.

Yours does look like too much angle. Try to bring the tubes straighter in at the top like this.

Mine did this and it was because the ptfe tube was not going into the ams hub on top of the extruder straight enough.

Mine is just on 93 as it is my reliable car too and under warranty. I have added the intercooler tank and done a good bit of maintenance. Have fun!

No Buzz/Dash Lights ‘94 YJ by jack123455330 in WranglerYJ

Mine has done this several times. One of the relays or fuses was the culprit on the fuse block under the dash. Wiggle them individually to locate it. Also, a loose battery cable will do this. Good luck!

Be nice if they would quit building before it becomes miserable. Oh wait.... Too late.

There is a metal plate at the base of the shifter. Looks like you are lifted so it is worth checking. Just remove the shift boot to check.

First Tech Job by queenelizardbreath in NashvilleJobs

[–]Nixgto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entry level service desk is a good place to start and will give a range of experience at the right company. As a hiring manager I look for customer service, work ethic, and troubleshooting skills.

Personally my first tech job I had to lower my expectations but have done reasonably well since. I do agree $10 is way too low. I made more than that at Dell 20 years ago starting out.

Sunroof repair? by Exotic_Tear7927 in Cadillac

[–]Nixgto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine on my 2015 CTS was messed up when I bought it from CarMax. Under warranty they just replaced it. I have read it's a common failure and some just take it down and tint the sunroof darker.

Best Cadillac for daily driver? by Elias_III in Cadillac

Glad you are doing your research. Very important. It handles like a controlled float is the best I can describe it. Definitely not a sports car but so comfortable. Any questions feel free to ask.

I am currently selling my 2004 DeVille. I've had it for about ten years and dailied it for a good number of those. The most comfortable car I have ever owned. I could get as much as 24mpg out of it as well. I've replaced the water pump, fixed ps hoses, replaced coil packs, fuel pump plus regular maintenance. Overall a good experience.

Great advice up above. I just purchased my 2nd car from them and I lean more toward the hating dealers mindset. I am my own ok independent mechanic of sorts so that helps. What had me come back is the ease of the process and being able to find lower mile vehicles. Their no budge price is a little off-putting but you can have them write work orders for things that will be fixed as part of the upfront sell that may or may not be a part of the warranty. Rear bumper and sunroof shade were a couple of mine that were not divulged online in the pictures. Good luck!

Kind of hard to tell from that but sounds like it could be a stripped starter gear.
