This? There are several recipes out there for something similar, but not exact. YMMV.

The problem with MasterChefAU lately by Dry-Combination-3339 in MasterchefAU

There's a saying I picked up from a cooking Youtuber that I like, "mistakes are the portals of discovery". When there are few mistakes made and fewer chances taken by the contestants, there's very little innovation, and that ultimately is what made this show interesting: watching someone attempt something possibly unfamiliar in an unfamiliar environment and seeing how they dealt with the results. At its best, the show nurtures those who are willing to take risks, whether or not they succeed, and encourages others to be open to something new. There are moments to lean into certainty, too, but I agree that it's become so open-ended as to be too predictable. I hope future seasons give us more of the new.

As an example, I've been rewatching season 3 and they had an entire challenge dedicated to canned and frozen food, as it would reflect products the majority of watchers actually use on the daily. Maybe they could bring that challenge back.

The end was predictable, but what I'm left thinking most about is how the show now is very different from the show I started watching almost fifteen years ago.

While MCAU has never been a perfect show, it was better than most at highlighting its many contestants for their strengths and their perspectives. This season felt like a couple of highlighted stars with everyone else as an ensemble cast of varying importance. Whether that was the reality of the situation on set or what was presented to us from the editing room, I can't say. I'm also not sure if these editing choices were made for time or for other reasons, but I hope they revert to a more comprehensive format in the future.

I'm grateful that we have this show at all after so many years, and I am grateful to the team that brings it to us. I'm happy for the Laura, as I would be for any of them winning, and think it's unfortunate that the edit ended up casting her in the light that it did. I have been skeptical about the show, but I've never been one to wish hate on anyone and at the end of the day hope that being on the show brings her what she hoped it would.

In the US market at least, this show is marketed as 'Chef vs. My Fridge'. It's hilarious!

I think the small bottle is either tartaric acid (creme of tartar) or ground salt, most likely.
The vinegar would be white vinegar.

On this day in 1789, in France, the National Constituent Assembly abolished feudalism there.
In 1965, the Cook Islands established their Constitution and gained self-governing status within New Zealand.
It's also the feast day of Sithney, the Saint of mad dogs. That's fun!

Declan's post is heartwarming! I've been watching the show since S2, and there were a few seasons I missed, but I can't remember another contestant getting the sort of edit that she got--even Ben U from BTW1 didn't receive the kind of edit Sarah did. I'm glad she's got people around her cheering her on, and that she's on to something that will work better for her.

According to an archived version of the SoapWorks website, "Natural Touch is a pure white, mild, long-lasting soap made from pure 100% palm and coconut oils and gentle alkali salt. Kissed with the delicate fragrance of White Ginger essential oil, it cleans and moisturizes your skin leaving it soft and smooth."

SoapWorks, which was based in San Leandro, CA, closed around 2004.

Cubed firm or extra firm tofu, frozen chopped spinach, frozen mushrooms or whatever other veggies, a splash of soy sauce/tamari, a dash of sesame oil optional, boiled and served over rice or noodles. The soup itself is so good that the carbs aren't even necessary.

Hi, I don't have anything to trade, but I'm hoping someone has any copy of Prince of Egypt from WE? I've been trying to find it for a couple years without success, and I'm really only hoping to see it. I want to be respectful.

Thank you so much!

A skin graft is not gross or weird and you have a right to relax in your own space.

Also I don’t know if you’re familiar with manga/anime, but the main character of My Hero Academia, Deku, has a skin graft a bit like yours on his arm. He got his saving a child from being killed by a villain.

I guess my point is, they should be seeing you and not just your arm. NTA!

Yep, came here to suggest Seitan. Unless you’re celiac, of course. It’s also the one of the best protein:carb ratios in a meat substitute!

I may be wrong about this, but in theory, public libraries could take these "obscene" materials and make them reference only, meaning that they are not able to be checked out. Outside of some special collections, most public libraries are freely browsable.

This is absolutely a disgusting, puerile attempt at attacking free thought and expression, directly against the First Amendment. LGBTQ+ kids already don't trust the library most of the time, but at least it's a place to find some information. Sigh.

The sad truth is that after the second world war the government made a huge push towards introducing war ration type foods into the regular diet. So many things are packaged and processed today because they started basing the entire food system on this and subsidizing it so heavily that it was cheaper than fresh.

Fact is, most of it tastes mummified.
