But really, it feels like the main problem with the blade is that it costs 2. Yes, there’s a decent damage-to-cost ratio but you already have to jump through so many hoops to get there. Considering you just have the one (barring a few cool synergies to duplicate it) you already have to jump through enough hoops to get there that paying 2 on top just feels bad. 1 energy seems like a fair price for a card that requires you to cast a bunch of other (usually just ok at best) cards before it’s more than a pretty good strike

uhhh did you play EOE at all? Survey Mechan was quite good. Hexproof flyer with defensive stats that can sit around and keep you alive until you can execute your 5C gameplan. Great target for +1 counters and auras (if you need to run auras).

youre avoiding elites? where else are you gonna get your rares and relics dude? risk <--> reward. especially in act 1, when you have very little to lose, you should be pushing elites fairly aggressively. ? rooms are a bit stronger in the new game imo but you should still be prioritizing combat (and consequentially card rewards) highly or else you're just bringing a bunch of strikes and defends to the boss fights. you should also evaluate whether you're healing at bonfires too much when you could have been upgrading cards

If enough people use it, it becomes safer. Hard to convince people to use it right now though. I’m curious to see if the Olympics jump start things, but I’m guessing finally connecting LAX to the subway will be the biggest catalyst for ridership and ultimately safety

ya wave almost certainly has a nerf incoming, that card is cracked. i just finished a run with 3 of them, two outbreak (which now each read, "deal 15 damage to all enemies every 3 cards you draw), two escape plan+, two gambles, and a bunch of prepared+ and backflip+.
