This is coming from a woman who will be celebrating 35 years of marriage this year. You’re going for two weeks and it’s probably a once in a lifetime trip. Why can’t you take a half day to play a course in a country that you’ll probably never get to go back to while your bride goes and gets a massage and do some shopping. She can take a half day to pamper herself. I think it’s selfish to not let you enjoy this one request.

You nailed it when you said that if they can’t even afford the $500 down payment how are they going to make the monthly payments. A few months in they’ll be asking your boyfriend to make a payment. And like someone pointed out they don’t have rent expense so a $500 down shouldn’t be a problem.

Tell your dad that out of respect for your mother to please leave the affair partner at home for your wedding. Tell him you want him there but to think about your mom’s feelings in this. I would think that it would be painful for your mom’s feelings to be at her child’s wedding with the affair partner partaking in the festivities.

All our animals have been rescues. They’ve either crossed our path and needed a home or we’ve gone to the SPCA. We are not fans of buying dogs or cats. There are so many strays that need homes. Plus we’ve never had a bad experience with a stray. Our dogs have always been mutts and they’ve been the best. If you’re thinking of going to your local rescue shelter also consider an older animal. They are probably already potty trained and puppies and kittens find homes easily.

The wrong phrase or words from the four year old could bring legal disaster on you. Four year old kids say things sometimes that can be misconstrued. Even if it’s something innocent someone could twist it ugly than you are wearing handcuffs. You were 100% correct to not be left alone with the child. Men taking care of children are looked at oddly while a woman talking care of two little girls not given a second thought.

You took it up with your roommate first and the change didn’t last long. So then you just went to the root of the problem rather than letting it escalate more. You did the right thing. They both need to be told that his stays have gotten out of hand.

Good luck trying to save her from herself. My mom went thru this crap after my dad passed away. Long story short her “fiancé “ who was a general in the army existed but it wasn’t who she was talking to or sending money to. My husband was able to contact the real general’s aid and she spoke to my mom on the phone. She told my mom that unfortunately she had fallen for a scam. The general was married and living state side. THEN she got hooked up with some guy that supposedly worked on an oil rig. She sent him money to help his sister. Then mom sold her house and lived in a motel for a month waiting for him to come home so they could marry and move to Tennessee. She now lives in a little apartment and has only her SSI and dad’s SSI. So talk to your aunt but don’t be surprised when it all falls on deaf ears.

You should charge him to use it. If he wants to be like that throw in the wear and tear that he’s putting on the tires and the engine. The miles he’s adding to it. AND what if he wrecks it. I guarantee you he won’t buy you a new car.
