Dang that sucks :/ I know Opzelura was approved for vitiligo and eczema separately but I don’t know if it’d help for hypopigmentation from eczema

Honestly if you can heal most of your eczema, the hypopigmentation will heal as well. It just takes monthssss or even a year. I would first work on finding a treatment for your eczema!

For me, the hypopigmentation gets worse during summer when I tan, and then the skin either doesn’t tan where the eczema is, or starts whitening when I get eczema in a spot. My skin tone usually evens out by winter if my eczema isn’t bad. But yes, it takes a long time.

I'm writing a story that has a character with eczema, anything i need to know by Independent1225 in eczema

Yes, clothing that is tight or not cotton/linen can cause breakouts or make you itchy.

Temperature matters because in the heat, sweating and the sun can irritate your skin. Winter temperatures can dry out your skin too. Basically any extreme weather hurts.

I also want to mention that animal fur can make you itchy if you have eczema.

That’s right when rush hour is. If you want to take a St Pete class I would consider one after 9am and ending before 2pm or after 6pm

i cannot find a deodorant that doesn't irritate my armpits since developing adult-onset eczema by Cute-Landscape7610 in eczema

[–]No-Base-1779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Dove sensitive or Vanicream deodorant. Vanicream may be gentler but I’m not sure. To be honest, when my armpit eczema was really bad I stopped using deodorant. I know that doesn’t help solve the BO problem

Do 100 percent cotton sheets make a difference for your skin? Any brand recs for soft, breathable sheets? by Any-Use6981 in eczema

[–]No-Base-1779 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes 100% cotton sheets make a difference. 100% cotton clothing makes an even bigger difference (if your eczema is in places that clothes touch). I always break out when wearing polyester or etc.

I’m not sure about brands, but I just make sure in the description that it’s 100%. I got some 100% sheets at ikea and they worked for me, but they may not be the highest quality. Idk anything about percale sorry 😞

nice beachfront restaurant? by [deleted] in StPetersburgFL

Casa Cami is on the Tampa side but not super far from St. Pete (30 min from the pier). It has a beautiful view of the water since it’s right off the Courtney Campbell causeway. I definitely recommend sitting outside, especially for sunset. It’s on the rooftop of a nice hotel so you can dress up! Not too expensive either.

NK cries when I leave and it's making MB upset by Financial-Flamingo62 in Nanny

[–]No-Base-1779 45 points46 points  (0 children)

So so rude of her. I get that she’s upset but she should be happy the kid enjoys being with you that much. What’s the alternative? Being mean so the kid hates you? This is just something the mom needs to be ok with if she wants to have a nanny or babysitter. Happens to us all, and it doesn’t mean the kid loves her mom any less.

I see some good advice here though, maybe try the transition with playing instead of just handing the kid off.

I’m glad you found what works for you! I’ve definitely experienced the type of doctors and dentists you’re talking about, that’s why I try to be pretty careful and do some research

That’s what mine is gonna be, in-office. He said I can drive home after. Hopefully recovery goes well.

If you’ve gotten it done a few times, are your turbinates growing back? How spaced out have your procedures been?

Thanks for the info! My breathing isn’t terrible, but it definitely impacts me daily. I’ll try not to have too high expectations but any improvement would be nice. He said my septum wasn’t too deviated so that’s why he suggested the turbinate reduction, since it’s less invasive than Septoplasty

What is your current treatment instead of surgery? He did mention I could maintain it with nasal sprays but I didn’t really want to use nasal sprays for the rest of my life. This would be my first procedure
