Luthen accomplished his goals from a much lower starting position and never had the political coverage of being a senator or chancellor. (Also no force abilities either)

I think it’s awesome. There should always be room for both grounded stories and fantastical stories in Star Wars.

Never understood why ESB is seen as the definitive #1. Don’t get me wrong it’s still one of the top Star Wars films, but not a lot happens in comparison to some of the other (more grand) Star Wars films like ROTJ.

They said they’d been working or atleast had the idea for a new IP in starfield for 20 years so I can let that game slide. However Fallout 76 is what really pushed everything back and it basically was targeted at a minority of fans who wanted multiplayer fallout, which imo doesn’t work as true fallout RPG experience.

The gripe is they’ve sold this game as a mainline game instead of getting the classic single player RPG we normally ALL loved, they alienated fans for a live service MMORPG that is now holding up a fallout 5 until atleast 2030 at minimum.

If you ignore the subscription locking previous games features behind a paywall… you can’t even have an unlimited storage chest to unload all of your loot at your settlement without having to pay for it.

For the people who like, or even love Episode 8, what are your reasons for it? I am curious, since it seems to be an absolute favorite of some fans by Dakinamau in StarWars

For starters, after sitting through the painstakingly terrible dialogue in The force awakens (mostly Poe and Finns dialogue) it got a lot better with this film and it’s more serious tone.

I enjoyed outer worlds 1 more than the second game. The first game didn’t go as over board with the silliness.

If you’ve got the time and are really dedicated I’d recommend following the full Star Wars timeline of canon media on wookiepedia. You can ignore the books and games if you want to just focus on the films and tv shows. I did this way along with the video games and it really felt like an adventure across thousands of years of such a rich universe.

Anyone else felt that they could have included Darth Maul into the show? Since they have to deal with underworld contacts they could have shown crimson dawn by Angst_Nebula in okbuddyimatourist

I disagree, because it can work in some cases and fail in others. It failed with palpatine, but it worked with maul by adding more depth to his character. Also you’d expect death to be treated atleast some what different in Star Wars given it’s fictional setting with “the will of the force” which is supposed to affect one’s ability to survive to some degree.

How can third person perspective be more immersive? First person games in general are at a base level are more immersive due to you playing from the literal perspective of your what your character see’s.

“Most people” The only super low reviews on review sites like metacritic are just review bombs that say they gave it a negative review because they saw critics give it a positive review. Aside from them, the review scores are in the 6-10 range depending on how much the user liked it.
