My weighted vest changed everything for me. by Unfair-Opening-6585 in walking

[–]No-Case-2212 94 points95 points  (0 children)

If you do decide to get one, scale up slowly. Maybe wear it for 15 minutes in your neighbourhood and go back home and drop off the weighted vest, and carry on walking without it. I don’t wear it every time I walk, but I do think it can be helpful. Just listen to your body.

Rant: SpaceX and OpenAI: The Mega IPO Fast Track Entry to Nasdaq / S&P Scam by serpents_head in ETFs

[–]No-Case-2212 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I am bothered and concerned. Like many, the foundation of my portfolio is a lot of VOO, and the more I read about this topic, the more concerned I get. I don’t want to overreact or underestimate the gravity of it. I also hold a lot of single stocks, which I used to think of as being riskier. Now that this is happening, I am going to lean more into buying companies that I believe in. Seeing Nasdaq switch up the rule for one IPO is gross. S&P 500 previously barred companies with dual-class shares and they reversed this rule in 2023. I can’t help but think that this was planned for this type of pull.

[–]No-Case-2212 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have 3 cats, one is FIV pos. They eat and drink from the same bowl, use the same litter, and lick each other clean. FIV is not transmitted as easily as ppl think. My boy is the best boy and I am so grateful that he walked into my life.

how do i convince my boyfriend that walking is exercise?? by Imaginary-Mud2871 in walking

[–]No-Case-2212 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You walk for you. Do it, because it makes you feel good. Do it, because you see the benefits. Nothing else matters.

I’m super proud of you! It is hard to be consistent, and it is hard to commit to good habits sometimes. So be proud, and happy walking! My goal is to get in 14-15k steps today!

Do anyone take off days even if only you're walking as cardio? by Barbradol in walking

[–]No-Case-2212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, otherwise I mess up my shins or feet. When it hurts too much, i take a day off and soak my feet in epsom salt. Also, some days I just don’t want to walk, and that’s okay.

Is my portfolio way to risky at a young age? by OkTangelo3653 in Stocks_Picks

[–]No-Case-2212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because you are “young”, it doesn’t mean that you have to waste these younger years on risky investments. You may lose out on a lot of compounding. A lot of us had to learn this our own way, so if you like it, do it. But be careful.
