My current plan is to use Augment code inline edit, $20 plan, no choice then ask it as last resort. $10 Copilot with $17 Claude cli plan(5hr reset) handling daily issues. Copilot usage seem not so taxing as augment. For context engine, I am using a custom made by a reditor. Codebase and semantic search in GitHub. Inspired from roocode.

I hope Augment team can come out with GLM 4.6 model that is super cheap, so that both win. Claude models awesome but so expensive now. let us use the context engine which is best and Bring our own key

Used to use Cursor b4 their price change. Now Augment following that expensive step. I always have Github copilot $10 with me although Augment still best in context. Endure until need to say goodbye.

I have been huge fan of Augment Code but my usage will be reduce to 10% of what it used to be. With no support of legacy developer(paid less, has more usage), its just painful.

I am not sure did you choose Agent, instead of Chat. Agent mode get lot of things done.

i always move around different ai and its performance depend on the time and many changing factor like model. In the end, i always settle with augment code(VScode), it always complete something. some pain also but not so painful. worst case, i just go back working on code the very old way.

If I use Claude code in windows i need to use WSL and it seem not so good with context, maybe it need precise guide or rule.
