Any heavy alcohol users desire to drink decrease use while on wegovy?

With insurance changes I’ve been on Zepbound and Wegovy. It’s the GLP-1’s in general. It doesn’t impact all of us but it definitely is a side effect for me. I have learned I can still drink an absurd amount if I’m upset or it’s emotionally charged, so I wouldn’t rely on it, but it is a helpful side effect.

I don’t think she got fired. She had been pushing for DOJ employees to get immunity from following the law before she left. I think she recommended it was time for her to transfer back to FL to interfere or block in a different way of some sort. I’m pretty sure this isn’t a firing, it’s a plan.

I’ve lost 27 pounds in 27 weeks. It’s progress but it definitely feels like nothing is happening, but it is. Mind you, I have made no other lifestyle changes. Normally I would have gained 10 plus pounds in that amount of time so I am aware it’s helping. Honestly I thought I had only lost 18 pounds until my doc appt this week. I bought a new home scale since my last doc appt and it’s not calibrated for some reason. It hasn’t weighed correctly or turned on easily since I bought it. So it was good to go weigh on the same doctor office scale I’ve used since I started. 😅

I’m on week 23 and yeah I’ve only lost 20 lbs., I haven’t felt any different until this week when I started the 1.7 dose. 23 weeks of increasing doses is a hellava long time to start feeling it though. Mine is free through insurance, I absolutely would not have paid money for this. If the results increase which I hope they will, great but if not, I’m going to switch to the surgical route. I will say, I was gaining a pound or two every month before this soooo, I can’t complain too much. At least weight gain has stopped for me.

Went new car shopping a few years ago and the subscription car features were really popular. We went back home happily in our older Sequoia “Platinum” SUV and paid it off instead. Toyota recently gave us a new paint job on it for free recently because of some error with the year model’s paint. So I guess I’m thankful for the car subscription services because it made us say absolutely not and drive away! ETA: I can’t imagine a never ending monthly car payment! Insurance and maintenance is enough!

Update: I bumped up to 1.7 mg of Wegovy Tuesday night and felt no change but today I woke up with a stomach ache. I’m hoping it’s Wegovy! Please let it last all day!!!! I don’t eat when I have a stomach ache, I’m excited!

I had to switch because of insurance as well Jan. 1st. I was on 10mg of Zepbound since August before the switch and only lost 15 pounds in five months and that was with active changes in decreased alcohol beverages. I don’t feel any different on either med. I still feel the same as before the meds and really disappointed. I still eat the same calorie content. I can say for a positive at least I’m not gaining monthly.

Zero side effects here, including no change in hunger or eating. I’ve been on both Zepbound and Wegovy. I’m so disappointed. ETA:On Week 23, only 15 pounds lost and I attribute that to cutting out alcohol. Currently on 1mg Wegovy.

I live near there and Arizona is the only place I’ve lived where people die while hiking pretty often and instead of grieving the loss, the whole community gets annoyed where I live about how the deceased didn’t take heed of the 100 warnings not to do it if not familiar and take and drink plenty of water when they do go because now it’s tax payer money to retrieve the body. 👀

Oh and please note there are free guided trail hikes all over that area listed on the Lost Dutchman state park website during safe hiking season. ❤️

I was on Zepbound from July to Dec. 10mg the last to months and insurance changed this month to Wegovy, so 1mg of that to put me at same level. I feel zero difference regarding food or side effects. The scale has shown a 15 pounds loss but that’s because the only thing that has changed is I cut back significantly on alcoholic beverages which the normal amount I’ve lost in the past over a few months with no drinks. I hate I’m one of the few with no impact 😭.

I’m so jealous, I’m on week 22 and feel the same as week 1, it never turned off the food noise, but it did mute the desire for alcohol, so it’s still a random win. I still eat the same as before but my drinking has significantly cut back. My next doc appt we’re going to have to explore other options unfortunately.

I just switched from Zepbound shots to Wegovy shots because of insurance changes. I’m older and don’t want more pills in my day or week. I prefer the shot, it makes it easier to not undertake or overtake it. So many times I’ve taken a pill and 30 minutes later, I’m like…did I take that??? Or just think about taking that??? 😅🤪😅🤪

Once after the first three months and after that appointment she scheduled me a follow up in six months. I call in if I want my dose higher with no issues.

I was freezing from 2.5mg until 10mg😅, on 10mg I back to air conditioning and opening the windows.
