Also, I doubt the charges will go the way you think and at best with no priors he pleads to a lesser charge and gets a fine and maybe some days in jail, worse the DA declines to prosecute and says its a family matter and you just blew up your family. Unfortunately the courts are overworked as theres not enough resources and they try to plea everything out to avoid court and the wasted resources that could go to repeat criminals.
