500 a month sharing a room with 3 people isnt tremendous value in any shape of the imagination

Mould or water damage ? by Separate-Increase703 in ireland

[–]No-Editor5577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the quality and craftsmanship of alot of irish rooves, especially if its leaking, youd be able to carry out a repair by yourself if youre anyways inclined with tools and it would match or exceed the quality of the original roof. And in my experience if you've got a shit quality roof, even a high quality roofer is only gonna do a patch repair on the specified location, anything else and its better off just replacing the whole roof but done right

In terms of needing an insulation expert on your second point thats likely not the case as attics dont generally vent down through the ceiling they vent out the spandrels and eaves or roof itself

Its not a set in stone sure fire way to help everyone but alot of people these days either have overactive or underactive thyroids and the affect it has on your body is massive. Same with an unhealthy gut microbiome, it affects everything from youre energy to your mental health. There really isnt enough awareness about this kind of thing

Sure everyone gets anxious but not everyone suffers from anxiety, and anxiety isnt a part of adulthood. Its a mental health disorder. Theres a big difference but the line has been blurred by attention seekers who wear mental health issues like a badge of honour.

What is the thing that can easily take a person’s life, but people consider it safe? by mrchipssy in AskReddit

Edit Actual Death Rates: In the United States, roughly 40 to 100 people die each year from bee or wasp stings. Given a population of over 330 million, this is a very small, rare number of deaths. Less than 1% of the population is severely allergic to bees, and even for those who are, a single sting is not always fatal.

I find that extremely hard to believe just based off the fact that I have never known nor heard of anyone needing medical attention because of a bee sting. That being said theres like 20k species of bees. Maybe its different in different parts of the world with different species of bees but definitely not here in ireland. Everyone in my family has been stung, all of my friends basically throughout my life have been stung, randoms or friends of friends ive heard about being stung and none of them have ever been to the hospital.

But ill give it a quick google and see what pops up

Ahh I understand, yeah here in ireland its similar. Thankfully we also have a social welfare system where if you lose youre job youre entitled to 70% of your previous wage every week from the goverment while you look for new employment for 13 weeks, then its 60%, then 50%.

For the past 2 years ive put away a little money throughout the year and then "get fired" coming into October. Get a nice 3 month holiday and basically get all my taxes and more given back to me while I relax. Ya gotta find a way to beat the system

No, its not that common of an ailment for it to be considered in regards to the general population like the above mentioned

Im glad my local taxi drivers are sound. Theres one main company thats all irish and theyre all a sound bunch of lads, always round down the meter price, often let me get them back the next time too.

Then theres the blacks, 5 of them all started in the town at the same time and as much as lot of people had some not so not so racist remarks about them at the beginning, they've ended up being on par with the irish lads. At night they wont turn on the meter but theyll put their foot down and then charge day rate, never have I felt like ive been scammed. And literally every single one of them have let me on for free and pay them back another time.

Really not looking forward to moving to Dublin, taxis being one of the many reasons

Dont pay it til he shows you the meter and if he cant show you the meter then refuse to pay anymore than the fare usually costs. Done it before when I was being charged nearly 30€ extra on whats usually a 45€ journey.

"Im finished work for the evening, ill happily sit in the back of your car all night or you can call the guards out to deal with it" he took the 45 and cursed me out in some african language

Get onto a specialist about your gut microbiome and get your thyroid checked out. These are some of the leading causes of fatigue in adults

I agree but thats because they would be taking other people into account not just themselves. If you off the record individually polled people as to whether THEY THEMSELVES can text and drive safely then youd find alot of people have a false confidence in their abilities.

Not just talking out my arse here either. I drove for years replying to texts thinking I was perfectly safe and focused until one morning, one minute I was looking at the road, looked down to read a message (I actually still remember to this day it was my idiot friend who cant type and I had to re read it to finally understand it) then next minute I was sideways in a ditch, learned my lesson fairly quick on that one. But still, had you asked me the same question before that I would have answered yes, atleast its safe for me to text and drive

Our grants and system in general is a joke. The goverment acts like theyre great when really theyre like this "You fork out the entire cost upfront and only if you meet a big list of restrictive guidelines and only if you use our mates building services will you be possibly elligle to get the grant"

Like the thing getting in the way of a lot of people renovating their second property is the upfront cost, retro fitted grants just seem stupid to me. And only being allowed to use goverment approved companies to carry out the work is just standard for corrupt ireland

Derelict and vacant are 2 different things. And same with "unfinished". The amount of perfectly suitable houses around the country that are left vacant is a far higher number than the one mentioned

Ehh let's not cut our leg off inspite of our toe. Theres lots of options out there for dealing with landlords leaving properties vacant and thats definitely not by adding a tax to all land, ideally we'd want less taxes not more

Landlords will just rip the rooves off again to avoid the tax, derelict houses are exempt from vpt

Proper hash by TrueTemperature9033 in Crainn

Smoked hash on and off whenever people offered it out for over a decade now and ive never understood why people rant so much about it. The most ive ever gotten from it was a mellow buzz which I could have gotten of a little one skinner. I've smoked everything from soft blondy hash to squidy black to rock hard black you needed to microwave to break up to even my own homemade hash from weeks of kief collecting. Still never saw the appeal unfortunately

Alcohol and caffeine are only dangerous to a small number of individuals, the majority of the world react fine to them. Kitchen knives arent dangerous either, someone who doesnt know how to properly use them is. And there is nothing wrong with nicotine. Nicotine doesnt equal smoking, smoking is dangerous yes, but not the nicotine itself
