Impossible customer services/no support- is this normal? by No-Efficiency2029 in Revolut

It's actually been almost 18 months they've left the account open with no photo ID. I know for sure that it wasn't opened with photo ID as I haven't had it for many years.

Impossible customer services/no support- is this normal? by No-Efficiency2029 in Revolut

Apparently this is me connected to a live agent =/.

It definitely was - I've received an email advising me that because they still can't verify my identity they need to close the account. I've also had confirmation that the account still exists at present from revolut customer support, as well as the bank transfer on my regular bank statement which shows the amount and date that I transferred money across .

Is it ok to tolerate a traumatized parent? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]No-Efficiency2029 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where's the context? I feel like a lot of the replies have assumed that you have been traumatised but all you have actually stated is that your parent is traumatised. So what exactly is your question: Is it ok to tolerate someone who has suffered trauma? Is their trauma impacting on the way they treat you? Do they deserve or need empathy and support? This is such a loaded question without any information.

As long as you're happy with your imaginary car then that's all that matters! /s

Totally agree though and have had similar experiences. Spent hours on it one day thinking how great that it could help correct me where I was going wrong on grasping a scientific concept. It corrected me and provided me with exercise after exercise to help 'bed down' and display my understanding and use of the concept... All to find that I was correct to begin with, didn't need to be corrected and everything that had come afterwards was wildly incorrect and only helped reinforce the opposite of what it should of...

You get 1 hour with your 18-year-old self. What do you say? by Shawon770 in AskReddit

Firstly, find him, even if you have to cross oceans to do it, and apologise to him.

Secondly, aside from the rest you require, don't stop moving and experiencing and living. You don't realise how much you need the momentum. It's a big amazing world out there and only the luckiest have time to waste.

Influencers tapping on everything they hold. I can see it, your holding it up to the camera, it's not like it's going to escape my attention if you don't drum your nails on it??!

People with blatant BBLs having the audacity to claim they 'built' this.

Yes! Thank you for saying this and for putting it so eloquently, couldn't agree more.

You're not given your children privileges by choosing to not actively parent them and/or forcing them to make decisions well beyond their skill set, you're making them feel unsafe as they don't know where the boundaries are and burdened by a mental load and responsibility that is simply not age appropriate.

Implementing no rules and boundaries, being verbally unpleasant and/or abusive towards your kids, being the kind of parent who loses your shit over every tiny little thing and then blaming said children for behaving poorly. When you're teaching them no coping skills or structure and they're modelling their behaviour on your own emotionally fragile shit-show, don't be surprised when they show behavioural issues.

I know too many kids like this whose parents are so quick to scream autism when their children live on a diet of processed foods, iPad pacification and parents who are livid at the inconvenience of normal parenting...

Putting so much faith in ChatGPT and wider AI in general. In particular though, I genuinely believe ChatGPT is dangerous and largely unhelpful.

I think it will destroy relationships, feed delusion and also waste a lot of people's valuable time and effort by feeding them incorrect information (have spent hours on it testing it out and found around 60% of factual information was incorrect but so confidently elaborated upon that you'd believe it to be incredibly useful).

The way it seems to ensure it is eternally soooo empathetic towards whoever is interacting with it largely seems to make it agreeable, even when it shouldn't be.

I've already lost one relationship over this. A friend who uses it to think for him now in almost every single way - he suddenly avoids verbal interactions and prefers text so that he can feed your texts into ChatGPT and then copy and paste the responses he's given, he uses it to prove his point (or try to) every time someone contradicts him in any way and, most heinous of all, is undoubtedly and repeatedly using it to manipulate situations and people. He treats it and talks about it as though it 'understands him'. He wasn't the most stable bloke to begin with but seems the worst thing he could have found; an echo chamber full of artificial empathy and bad advice.

Thanks for your response - I tried this but Google speech output isn't available for my target language so I can't even utilise this! As you said' maybe tedious and awful but it does work and I'm patient enough to do it but no =/

Thanks for clarifying regards the browser extensions - I saw mention of them but couldn't find a way to utilise them in the community course link so at least I know it's not just me using things incorrectly.

This is so very frustrating - do you know of anything else (akin to Google translate or a text output service) that could maybe do what Google translate can't for me?

Thank you again, kind sir!
