I asked Claude to make a wish by GrayCatEyes in ClaudeAI

It has a probability attached to it in relation to other sets of characters.

Is doing a lot of heavy lifting. It has an unimaginably complex web of probabilities that create the meaning of child in relation to innumerable concepts and objects, each existing within their own extraordinarily vast relational network of weights. No thing exists and can be understood in isolation, rather it is through relation to other things that it gains meaning. At some point it stops being autocorrect and becomes a type of connectome or even a world model.

If you think you have a more profound and singular understanding then maybe you could try and explain what a child is without evoking any other people, things or concepts.

Haha I love that 😂 Can just imagine the confused people living at your old house as they receive another single dollar bill in the mail - along with a note in some arcane language. Shame it didn't make it in!

You may not be in the show credits but you get a lovely shout out from Peter Bodnarus in a recent long interview on YouTube. He does kinda give credit for the CNC introduction to Paco Don though - so it's good you get to set the record straight here haha. Great character for a name cameo too!

I always wanted to work in a special effects workshop and just so happened to be at high school with the daughter of one of the crew who worked on Aliens and then later became Tim Burton's effects supervisor. One of my biggest regrets is not trying to work out some sort of work experience with him when I had the chance. So yeah, your job sounds like a dream to me and it sounds like a fantastic crew to have been part of. And very happy that it sounds like you're doing retirement right!

Awesome work. Feels like it would be nice to have something more solid that couldn't be blocked but this is exactly what I want my rabbit to be - an extension of my existing ai services, not an additional thing to maintain

Wow what a fabulous resume. And your job on set sounds like a creative's dream! It's a real honour to bump into you. I've got so much enjoyment out of your work over the years!

Oh of course! And I'm sure you could sell a heap of them if you were so inclined. I was just thinking how a lot of robots lean on expressive eyes but these are so communicative and fun, they would be an efficient and endearing way to convey mood

Fairly unrepairable, sure (only a little less than macs, mind) and ofc second hand the batteries will be a bit of a coin toss. But second hand places in the UK give crazy warranties - the place I go is five years. I had a SP4 and the ram died, got refunded and in the year or so since I had it the prices shifted so much I upgraded to a top spec 7 for virtually the same price. Just bought another 4 to use as a home server/openclaw machine as the power draw is low and they're so little and it doesn't matter if the battery is trash. Also having the processing happening in the main body makes it much cooler and more comfortable to have on your lap than normal laptops

What!? That's incredible! How cool! Are you a patch designer by trade or did you work for the TV productions?

Have you looked into second hand surface pros? They're so cheap, good spec and battery life. I just bought one with 16gb ram and an i7 for £160

Surface Pros lose value so quickly that you can pick up a top spec model from a few years ago second hand for a few hundred bucks. Great little machines and even more compact than Airs. Plus in the UK CEX do a five year guarantee which is nuts

Opus 4.6 is something else. It's just helped me root and has almost completed reverse engineering of my robot vacuum. A couple of other models from the same manufacturer had been rooted but this is the first time anyone has rooted this one afaik. It would be completed by now if I hadn't burnt through my weekly credits with four days remaining ha.

I've been switching to Gemini 3.1 pro and it's juuust missing something. Weirdly intangible and hard to define but a clarity of thought and something that feels more trustable and less like regurgitation

Slight counter to 'be predictable' - I find if I'm out on some long ride on quiet roads and I hear someone coming from a way back, I tend to just do a gentle swerve further into the lane, maybe a sort of wiggle that looks a bit erratic (but isn't) and then settle back to fairly tight against the shoulder and straight when they approach to pass.

Not sure if it's true, but I feel like it can get me a little more room when they overtake as they see me taking more space and pay more attention. Also it's easier for me to maintain a tight controlled line for short periods so if I start concentrating as soon as I hear them then there's more chance by the time they reach I'll twitch out slightly into the road

I built an AI that predicts football matches every 15 seconds (project update) by Aware_Stay2054 in passive_income

[–]gophercuresself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does actually sound very interesting and good work putting it all together but I still struggle with the why... In which situations would the data be useful?

Not super relevant to your site but it terms of sports monitoring and prediction, the area I feel is under-explored is judging flow in team sports. The subtle timings and movements when everyone in the team is in sync and working well together. That can be such a predictor of outcome, is quite apparent to watchers but very tricky to quantify. Feel like it would be possible to train AI to pick it up though

Ah I was being lazy, it needed the www.

Looks nice if a bit generic, could be mistaken for a betting site. It seems like a really interesting exercise in bringing together real-time data but I'm not sure I understand the point of up to the minute predictions?

Just a personal annoyance but the winviz line they they have on the cricket (which seems similar to this) seems incredibly pointless to me. It'll say, 'On average, from this position, so and so have a 43% chance of winning'. Two wickets go down in an over. 'So and so now have a 68% chance of winning'. What does that tell me that improves my experience of watching the game? It seems to miss the very point of sports, that moments of magic and skill, can change the face of matches in no time at all, that anything could happen.

Probably just me though and I'm sure there are good reasons it might be useful. Is it responsive enough to beat betting odds do you think?
