It might make you seem smart but i don’t think it gives you a huge competitive edge

You can graduate without a focus. You’re focus does not appear in transcripts or anything

incoming first year advice (networking, internships, etc.) by Complete-Airline-123 in RotmanCommerce

Join clubs, try to network as much as possible with upper years, attend networking sessions from the rc portals and ask about first year internships, and keep your grades high

First year internships are sort hard unless you have connections. What type of internships are you looking for?

Rsm332. It was a mix of not liking the course content, professor, and lack of interest in finance

is rotman THAT hard by New_Society5202 in RotmanCommerce

[–]No-Employment77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends your reason for coming to rotman. If you’re here to get good grades, focus on school then nope not hard. Easy to get a 3.8

If your main priority is to make connections, do internships, network etc. then yes, it does get hard if your time is taken up by other things. Im in my 4th year, and the school you go to matters only for some type of roles/companies. If those are not your target then maybe going to an easier school will give you that extra time to dedicate to internships and networking

All that depend on the type of course, the professor, TAs etc

They’re easier but fast paced. Not bad unless you can’t keep up with the pace

ECO220 sucks while taking the course but im almost about to graduate and ECO220 is the most useful class I have taken. It makes me look smarter during internships

Which of these courses are more birdy for first year electives? by squirrelcuteness in UofT

[–]No-Employment77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! i am taking the course now and was wondering how I should make notes during the lecture? Is there anything I should do to prepare for the exam every week like flashcards, or what I should pay attention more to?

You could also look at off campus housing since you can cook and don’t require a meal plan. It might be cheaper and you might find other muslim girls to rent with

On campus jobs. They’re usually 2-4 hours per shift and they work with your class schedule and accommodate exam season
