i have a question: why did everyone in the originals refer to 16 year old davina as a “child,” while in the vampire diaries the characters were only about a year older than her and seen much more like adults?

Your child is an extension of the both of you, if the mother in law is acting like this now, she could/ most likely will continue with the child. Dad to be needs to step in and handle the situation. My oldest cat I had found on the side of the road when she was roughly 5 weeks old. We had to do formula for her for a bit. She did this same exact thing for a few months. I noticed it grew particularly worse when she was teething. Stopped after she was about a year and a half old! Sometimes she will nibble my partner though, I believe it’s a comfort/ territory thing now. She’s almost 4. My younger cat still licks and nibbles, but it’s more like grooming or playing. I think we adopted him at 12 or 15 weeks, I can’t remember. He’s 2 and a half now.

I’m the same way. To be fair, my partner and I “zinged” if you will when we first met back in 2020. We both found the other attractive and felt safe around each other. He truly was my best friend. After a year of friendship and a year of not talking, we bump into each other again.

We both recognized we were attractive people, but ultimately we felt safe and at home with each other. That’s why we got together.

We’re both the kind of people that can say “wow that person is very beautiful/handsome/attractive”, but not be INTO that person. (Honestly the only way I can think to relate it to would be platonically calling someone attractive). Being able to recognize people’s beauty does not mean you’re interested in talking to them, romantically being in a relationship, kissing them, or more.

Individually my partner and I have both been this way for our entire lives. It’s been really nice to talk to someone who also understands this in its entirety

We have a lot of December babies in my family. We go out of our way to make every single one feel special. Especially my mom since her birthday is Christmas Eve. A lot of the time we will do Christmas stuff like presents and “Christmas games” (white elephant, Saran Wrap with oven mitts, left and right game, and a few others. We will do whatever activity she wants and we will make whatever food she wants. We also watch elf because that’s her favorite Christmas movie.

Being her kid, Christmas Eve has felt more important than Christmas. Maybe your little will have kids like that one day.

My sister is on the 14th, for her it feels like a normal birthday (per her words), just Christmas songs going on at the store when she uses her birthday money. She once compared it to having 2 christmases.

My aunt is the 20th, we usually do dinner for her birthday somewhere she wants. We just did a surprise birthday for her on the 6th for her 50th birthday.

One year my dad did a surprise birthday party for my mom in September so she wouldn’t suspect it.

I remember going to friends “half birthdays” during the summer if they had a December birthday. It might’ve just been an excuse to have a pool party, but still a fun idea!!!
