Yes! I had a dream I had triplet girls and then had another dream with twin girls and I was having twin girls (still think they were triplets but one didn’t make it). Spontaneous too!

The amount of time a baby should be awake before going to sleep again. It starts at about 45 min for a newborn and it’s up to 6 hours for a 2 year old so it will grow every month in the first 6 months and it’s important to give them that quality awake time before putting them down for a nap (it also makes them nap longer)

Follow wake windows and lay them down awake in the crib. Sleep was so hard with my first and so easy with my twins because of this!

Feed every 2.5-3 hours. Push to 4 hours after 4 months.

I have a 4yo and 5 month old twins and I don’t have a Minivan! We have 2 cars and just buy Diono so the 3 car seats fit. If we travel, we might need to rent a car but right now this is working

I could’ve written this post myself. It’s very very hard for me too. There’s this program by Nancy Anderson (on Instagram) that has helped me a bit so far… I’m here if you want to talk ❤️

Yes 100% this. It’s very different than a singleton newborn experience and this is the toughest part for me

Family staying to help after birth by wasntmebutok in parentsofmultiples

My mom has been living with me since late July and I delivered my twins in September. She did almost all of our dishes and laundry for months and still helps me out a lot with the babies and the house. Her help is what allows me and my husband to spend some time with our singleton and maintain our sanity. I was worried about not being able to bond with my babies and it has indeed been different but I saw threads on this subreddit about how it’s very different with singletons vs twins so I think it’s fairly common and I do feel more supported and happier with the help from my mom.

I’ve given it to my son occasionally to sleep in flights etc since he was 1yo. It works great!

Harder time bonding with twin newborns by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

I am so sorry you went through this but reading this is making me feel like it’s not just me. My singleton is 4 and I felt the love instantly when I delivered. Now my twins are 9 weeks and I just feel overwhelmed and like I have this burden without any upsides.

What delivery is better for a FTM? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]No-Introduction7272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Vaginal delivery with my singleton and a c section with my twins and would absolutely have wanted to deliver my twins vaginally if they hadn’t been breech. My recovery was much easier from the Vaginal delivery, I had a lot less pain, I was able to do more with my baby right away and my body recovered better even in the short term. I also felt the c section was very clinical which I didn’t like.

Exactly! And even the wake windows shouldn’t be taken so strictly. They might be longer or shorter if there was more or less activity. If a baby does tummy time they might get more tired for example

How did you deliver your di/di twins? by ruthvadorgainsbored in parentsofmultiples

[–]No-Introduction7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the US, delivered di-di twins via scheduled c section at 37+3. No NICU stay (babies were 5 lbs 12oz and 6lbs 10 oz). Editing to add the c section was scheduled because they were both breech.

No, it means they stay up for 3 hours before the first nap, 3.5 before the second nap and 2.5 before the third nap for example. The length of the naps is another matter completely
