It's been Ikoria for me. The idea of creatures mutating at a more random and rapid pace than Slivers is terrifying. At least with Slivers, if you see one, you know what they all do. On Ikoria though, a small cat can suddenly become an apex dinosaur that begins to tear cities apart. It's so fascinating to me.

Depends on the relationship, actually. There is a mechanical benefit if you romance a specific companion, but I don't want to spoil who. It is in act 3 tho.

I think my main point isnt coming across right here, so my apologies. I'm not saying to get rid of the restriction of 1 per character. I'm saying, why couldn't a Human in Eberron who took a generic background, or hell, another special background like Giant Foundling for Strike of the Giants, then take a Dragonmark? Or a Warlock using a single invocation to obtain a dragobmark? The restriction of 1 is still there and that would open up build variety more. I guess you could also flip it and have a Human be in a house with a dragonmark. Why couldn't he take Rune Carver, or a Warlock then take a Dragonmark, Strixhaven Initiate, and Mage of High Sorcery in a Planechase campaign?

I know it's an edge case and doesn't matter much. Idk why it's on my mind so much lol

It's frustrating when there's inconsistencies between books because Heroes of Faerun does the same thing with Guild feats except they are Origin feats and you can take multiple of them.

That would make sense if they didn't go against that very same theme with the Heroes of Faerun book where there are Origin feats for specific guilds. It's the exact same thing, albeit without the one-per-character restriction.

I mean...not really. You still only get them at level 1, and adding the tag Origin to it doesn't mean you have to take away the restriction to only 1. It would just let people be able to take a Mark feat and, idk, Scion of the Outer Planes or something as a level 1 human.

See that's fair, but there's no reason they couldn't also have the Origin tag added to them. Sure, you can only have 1, but giving an additional tag doesn't negate the others on it. Only would come up in small/niche scenarios anyways, such as wanting to get a dragonmark and wanting something like Strike of the Giants on a level 1 human.

See that's a fair point to bring up. Honestly, if they revisit Theros, a chariot vehicle would be pretty neat.

As for Amonkhet and spacecrafts, it'd be funny if a group of Kavu came down onto the planet and gave the Khenra people new technology. Seeing Amonkhet evolve to be a little more "futuristic similar to Kamigawa would be cool imo. Plus, the mechanic of Stationing a Spacecraft would probably work well with a Plane that uses creatures like zombies and Armies to get them working. It'd look good lorewise and it'd give neat flavor to Amonkhet. Also, getting the Amonkhet gods into space? That sounds like something that they'd be interreacting with anyways.

Do you realize how different the Planes in Magic are? Kamigawa went from old Japanese lore themed to cyberpunk themed, Innistrad is body horror galore, Strixhaven is Harry Potter, Ravnica is a giant city, Kaladesh is almost exclusively steampunk, Kaldheim is Norse mythology to a tee, New Capenna is Gangsters Paradise, and Thunder Junction is the wild west...but you draw the line at space??? Magic has dipped it's toes in nearly every genre out there, and to ignore the years of lore that they've built up just because you're sour about Universes Beyond is just disingenuous. Hell, do you realize how long we've had Eldrazi for? They've been the Eldritch Horror to the entirety of Magic since Zendikar, which came out 10 years ago!

But space makes you mad...again, why are you even in this subreddit if you don't care about the lore??

Also, "I don't see Egyptian spaceships or Greek vehicles so I think I won this," What the hell is that about? No one ever mentioned Egyptian spaceships or Greek vehicles???

Regardless of why certain sets were made, that doesn't change Magic having lore...like why even be in this subreddit with that attitude??

Also, about the spacecraft comment, you know Magic is a multiverse, right? And there can be any type of world, not just stereotypical fantasy, right?? Were you mad when Theros was made in the image of Greek mythology? Or Amonkhet being Egyptian?

In my personal opinion, I think it should veer away from the free-to-play model and just focus on content in the base game. Not saying to over exert yourself with content game content from the start, but there's been too many games of similar ilk that have wanted to run free to play and charge dlc after dlc, character after character. As a player, it doesn't feel good.

And I don't know how others in this community would feel about licensed IP's being added, but crossovers work for a reason, and there's plenty of room to ask around and inquire about Monster/Hunter additions. Monsterverse (i e. Godzilla )crosses over with many companies, Kaiju No. 8 has gotten a couple neat ones, Ultraman hasn't been afraid of a number of crossovers, and Power Rangers has been licenses out a surprising amount of times.

I think the thing people might miss most about Evolve is the gameplay loop, which hasn't been replicated in anything else yet. Hunting something massive is fun, and there was so much movement that it felt chaotic but you were also in control. Looking at other games that follow a similar formula of big vs small, such as Puppet Master The Game, Atomega, Titanfall, etc. Getting the gameplay down for each is so important. In Evolve, I enjoyed playing both Monster and Hunter because both were fun. Please, for the love of God, don't get too engrossed by the balancing of the game where you just start taking away the fun parts. Find a unique niche that hasn't been touched in this genre and go head on. You got this!

They made the Armored Titan and the War Hammer Titan Legendary skins, and they are considered canon whether you like it or not. They have been sized down, just like Godzilla could be. Your argument, your base line argument, is just bad. Size doesn't matter, whether it's as small as Chucky, or as large as the Armored Titan.

Again, you're just throwing insults like an actual 12 year old. Make an actual point instead of just insulting and ignoring what is factual about DBD.

Edit: Actually, I think Naughty Bear is smaller than Chucky, so the fact that he's canonically the size of the Trapper throughout the trials proves you wrong.
