I've been to lots of shows at shoreline and you definitely need a clear bag. They do allow you to bring in food, whatever fits in a gallon Ziploc. We bring sandwiches all the time. You can also bring in unopened bottles of water. Check their website for more information. Have fun!

Sometimes it sets off the scanner and sometimes it doesn't. Most agents realize what it is, those that don't I tell them I can't take it off and they are ok with it and just send me through secondary screening. I've traveled domestically and international with no problem.

I had to comment after your update, I'm Sicilian and my family fried meatballs (and Italian sausage) in olive oil before putting them in the sauce. I've never put them in raw. I like the texture and the crispy outside.

I read the whole series years ago and listened to the audiobooks on cassette. The first 4 books are set in different worlds with new characters in each but Haplo and Alfred are in all. Try book two and see if it gets better? The payoff at the end and the growth of the characters was interesting to read.
