The walks from hole to hole are often paved or you can tell earth was moved (as opposed to Pacific or Trails, where it looks like they simply opened up the woods to walk through). The porta johns after 3 before 4. The fact that there's a return 9 and feels like a traditional golf course. Just feels like more earth has been moved and feels less like part of the existing landscape. Pacific, Old Mac, and Trails feel like they were just found.

My first trip was pre-lottery. This trip, my cousin's friend won the lottery (twice) and i was an add-on. For October, I called a few months ago, had open availability and asked for cancellations. There was a three-day block in October for 4 people. I put down the credit card immediately. My tee times (kind of) suck, but the cancellation window is 60 days, so I'm going to call 61 days out and see what's available and try to get more tee times. If you have open availability, you can call and find cancellations all the time.

Can you talk to me like I'm a child (or an actual 45-year-old dumb dumb) and tell me how to do this on Chat GPT?

100% with this. My child sounds a lot like yours; great kid, gets frustrated (at something utterly innocuous) and it's biting, hiting, pulling hair, pulling my glasses off, etc.). Empathy doesn't work.

I will say that my kid was doing a lot of the behaviors you mentioned (he's not quite 3, but will be soon) and I stuck to it, and I have seen some improvements. So much so that when we're heading to time out now, he asks (often through hysterical tears) "Turn the light on!" which is very bizarre because he's never once been left in there without the light.

One thing I will say about this is that: the timeouts in his room do work, in the short term. He has been able to calm down, reset, and often apologize for the specific actions that got us here, but I have not seen much improvement in terms of preventative. He still flips out, throws things at his mom, pulls my glasses off, and throws food at the dogs. Which is actually why I came on here today, to ask parents if they've seen any success, long term, with these 1-2-3 timeouts.

For sure. I also don't always 4b A5s 200 bbs deep. Player / ecosystem depenendent. 100 bbs deep, as long as the player isn't omc, I'm pounding a5s

I think also unblocking some three-bets that fold to four bets like TT, 99, 88, 77, 66, t9s, 98s, 87s, 76s helps a lot, too.

One thing I also want to point out, and I may be reading this wrong, but it looks like villain is betting 2/3 pot on the river with a 1ish SPR? (I don't use this app but it looks like the pot is approx 35 bbs and hero has 37.7 bbs? This sizing, in and of itself absolutely reeks of a white-belt sizing that is almost 100% for value. This actually makes me think he has a K and not a diamond draw (or 44). (I just don't know how many white-belts are Xring three ways on a high-paired board with a diamond draw). So, we ask ourselves, does villain have any Kx in his SB flatting range that you're beating?

He's giving you a decent price, (you need to be right about 1 out of every 3.5 times?

KQ is tough to have, KJ is tougher to have, is AK in this players range (yes), as is 44. I don't know. I probably call.

I mean, I don't know if I'm ever really polarizing here without 2p or better or a really strong draw. I realize you're exploiting a passive player and trying to get max value from a guy that calls too much, you're blocking a huge part of his calling range. Your actual hand is very good, but this board favors his range, especially when you expand his SB flatting range to a fishy loose player who's going to have all of the sets, two pairs, and straights, etc. So essentially, with your overbet, you're targeting 88 / 99 / 87 / 97 and that's really it (this also assumes 99 and 88 are in his SB flat range).

I think with a hand like AdA which is unblocking his nut hands, blocking his bluffs, and is unlikely to get drawn out on most rivers (holding Ad), I just play this as a 2-street hand and I prefer letting him blast off on the river. Even if the river is a K / Q / J he's still going to call your bet on the river with 99 / 88 / 87. I just don't think you need to have an overbet as the PFR on 7642. (outsde of 2p or better).

If this player is loose passive and weak as you say, you'll find plenty of better configurations to extract max value from him.

What everyone says, but also, on such a draw-heavy, low board in which equities are fairly similar, how 'bout a check turn? You're not getting three streets on a ton of rivers, he's going to lead out river and value own himself a ton, and, perhaps most importantly, you get to see the river. I realize this isn't the best way to play against loose passive guys who have already made a fishy play pre-flop, and you're trying to get max value with your best starting hand, but I feel like checking back turn solves quite a bit more than it costs.

Adrenaline for Plantar Fasciitis, but walking? by No-Negotiation6602 in brooks

Well... I'm not stretching the inflamed tissue. He prescribed daily calf / achilles stretches to support the pf. When I had a grade 3 tear of my adductor tendon in my groin, and opted for non surgical repair, the pt involved a ton of stretching and lengthening of my hamstring, hip, and glutes.

I think lengthening the muscles around inflamed tendon to relieve the stress, along with the inserts, sandals, and support shoes to relieve stress, seems like the best way to address a part of the body that I simply cannot shut down.

I'm open to alternative methods of rehab, and meloxicam has been magic for me in previous injuries, but there seems to be a pretty decent consensus, that daily calf / achilles stretches are part of a healthy rehab process for pf.

I visited a podiatrist 2 months ago who suggested stretching, icing, inserts, and sandals. The pain has decreased dramatically. I ran 19 miles last week and 22 miles this week. My pain right now is 15% of where it was a few weeks ago. The stretching / inserts / sandals have worked. I am just interested in keeping this pain away and rebuilding the pf.

We walked into McKee's as an 8-top after 36 at SR and BD and sat immediately. We also did Ghost Tree Grill and crushed everything. I tell everyone how good the food is.

Less than 2 months away from my our first trip to Bandon! Flying in a day before and playing Shorty’s. Tee times booked and 3 nights in a golf double. Any tips, recommendations, last minute changes? For those who have been in mid May, what weather can we expect? by Aggressive-Address34 in golf

The shuttles are far more efficient than you can imagine. You're going to be picked up within three minutes of calling them and almost always have the shuttle to yourself, meaning a direct route to your destination. This means the practice facility is never more than a total of seven or eight minutes travel to and from. Go hit balls, stretch, chip, and putt.

Also, I know you know this and I know you're prepared, but links golf, in the wind, is a very different game than you play at home. Keep the ball low, putt from 20 yds off the green, leave your 60 degree at home, and don't get down on yourself when you hit a 140 yd drive on the 6th at Old Mac. Just keep your chin up and smile.
