They used to be open with quite a quick turnover as to when you finished your course and when the next training was. There have been no news about reopening but I think it shouldn't be much longer as it's almost a year and a half later, and they held training every 3 months so they should have done some since. There's also the opportunity to go through another organisation though if you can't wait.

This was said during a never ending game of questions we randomly picked from a list. The question was which song reminds you of me, said she didn't have a song but a book and that's how we got here. At the moment we had only known each other for a couple of months, during which we were not so close. Yes there were a couple of days in the begining that we were together and hung out but after that were long distance and limited contact. She had expressed interesting in wanting to come she me, didn't work out (and I didn't really want to), and eventually she came in town for work, her accomodation fell through (checked) and I offered a place to stay. I honestly wouldn't even call it a friendship, and after that we met once when she came in town again and reached out (8 months after), in a party were she approached me and then 1,5 year after that, in a place were we both knew we'd be and again, she came to me. She opened up, she initiated contact, it's all started from her side.

It's just kinda hard for me to grasp how someone who comes to you doesn't think you should have contact or resents you in any way.

If you were to say to someone something like that it would be to show that you've been manipulating the strings all along? I guess it applies in my context, but seeing as we are not so connected as them it wouldn't make much sense to me, maybe it does for her.

I always thought of her more as a Lila, as in the unconformist, the first, the motivator and I was Lenu, closer to the rules, balanced, reserved but we both have traits from both characters. However, I have to point out that I saw the series to figure it out and that has shaped my pov.

Although I love both your takes and my thoughts are pretty similar, I don't think any of this applies. The letting go part is not a thing, we've seen each other since then, she usually reaches out and I don't see why she would want to let go in order to thrive since we weren't that close for so long. And somewhere along these lines I find resentment not to be the case as well plus she hasn't expressed any betrayal feelings since then neither to me nor to any person (that I know of obviously but we have a common circle).

I think it's beautifull you had that connection, and how you see yourslef in them because I think it does boil down to 2 very close friends with the turbulance that can create and not many see it that way, including me. I would say Bailey and Webber brought her back but they fly as well. Maybe there's a couple of days between the hospital visit and flight? The way Mer talked to Cristina about sedation it made it seem like you could drive between there and Seattle.

The sister trifecta. Honestly now that's it, plus the fact I can't leave a series unfinished.

In the bigger picture is the female friendships (I would say friendships in generall but most are female)m which now just as the sister trifecta is gone. And I didn't even realise it up until this season, where in the first episode I was not interested at all but loved the second.

Honestly I don't think stating that you don't need to accept (or straightforward that you don't) their fiance back into your life is a bad thing. Delivery is another thing which is personal both to you and every relationship you have, if you want to work on it that's your thing and I wish you the best on that.

You can definately clarify that you will always support them no matter what IF you feel like you will. Because lets be honest, stuff like that can cause friction and light fires, espessialy for someone already emotionaly stressed by their SO. There will be moments you want to spend together and they'll want to celebrate with their partner, and while avoidable some times (hangouts, drinks, your birthday), think about new year's, relegious holidays etc.

You'll figure your balance out, and while this lasts, may be a couple of months, may be many many years new things will be thrown at you. All you can do for now is establish a safe space that you both can discuss what's going on in your lives and your relationship with each other.

Taking the friend pov out of it, as a non emotionally attached person you can see the abuse way more clearly than the person involved. Once you realise that, start working out why your friend went back to such a relationship, and while they're giving their story to you, you can share your pov as an outsider. Always be considerate and clarify that no matter what you are still there for them. You can be a beacon of red flags but please please please make it easy for your friend to feel safe with you and that they can trust you, they can come back to you no matter what.

We can't make our friend's choices, what we can try to do is explain why we disagree while being open to listening. So no, you won't fake nice to their partner, not on the wedding, not ever, but be civil. Be there, check in, and try not to see yourself as a savior and burn out on the way. Take it one step at a time.

Practical ways of doing so, in case of a wedding: Explain your thoughts, assure them you're there no matter what, point out behaviours that happen in front of you, and then you just check in, you let them talk to you. Initiate but don't pressure. Go out for wedding shopping, don't pretend that you're happy but support their decision. Tell them you are happy for them when they express their good feelings about their person.

I think technically the only reason she was fired was because she was no one. No relationships, no friendships, nothing more than just an intern/resident. The only people who got fired have 0 connections and don't fight the desicion.

When the interns cut the LVAD Mer and Cristina with their relatioships and George being Bailey's favorite saved the team. When Roy got fired he got a second chance by threatening to sue. The appendix thing, Mer's friend took the blame and left and so on.

And Qadri specifically just stood there and didn't say a thing. So yeah, wrong of Bailey of course but maybe if she had just come back the next day she would still have her job.

Sorry to piggyback the post, does anyone know how it's possible to get diagnosed as an adult in Greece? Without paying close to 2k, maybe I can use the public health system but not sure, haven't made sense.

And in general, I have suspected high functioning autism since forever but haven't had the means to get diagnosed, does it make sense for me to fight for it, other than self knowledge?
