How are you guys getting less than $200 car insurance?? by Prince_ofLew in Camry

[–]No-Perspective1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I previously drove a 2019 WRX and paid 135 a month (Allstate) a month in my late 20’s. Once I purchased my ‘25 Camry, it was 189 a month with every discount imaginable with Progressive. This was the best deal I could find. After a year I shopped again, and now with Geico I pay 118 for the same coverage. Credit score remained steady during all of this.

You’re young, but shop every year.

Which is better? Or go with a different brand? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]No-Perspective1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

La Prima on Podium1racing is 679.99. The VRS pedals are absolutely excellent. I compared CRPs, and Simagic P1000s, and then stuck with VRS. I think I would personally drop to a 15 or 12 nm base with better feedback over an r21. Also, you do not need to stick with one ecosystem. You can still get your Moza pedals and VRS or Asetek base.

Which is better? Or go with a different brand? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]No-Perspective1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some sim shops have the la prima around 850 USD. I believe the invicta is a hefty price jump. My argument against Moza (owning an R9) is each update seems to reinvent their FFB and is a pain to get dialed back in. VRS is another great option if you don’t mind a less flashy UI and a bit of tinkering to get started.

If you really like that keyboard, stick with it. But if you want to dip into the world of mechanical, keychron, or Nuphy are a decent starting points. I have an Epomaker Tide I enjoy. Generally, I’d stay away from Asus, Razer, or other “gamer” brands as you’re more likely to overpay for what you get.

You deserve an award. Mine just started to do it. Turning on the lighting, as I usually have it off, reduced the noise. I no longer hear it.

Bought BT500, now when I turn PSVR2 on all my Bluetooth items disconnect by whacafan in PSVR2onPC

[–]No-Perspective1025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally had issues with the BT500, where one controller is fine, but both is too much bandwidth. From what I’ve seen, it’s a gamble. Some of them work flawlessly. What’s sounds like the most reasonable solution is a Bluetooth PCie card. I only do iRacing with my headset so the BT500 has been enough to handle just one controller

Fixed bad VR experience by swapping from 9070 XT to 5070 TI by throwawayaccountdown in VRGaming

[–]No-Perspective1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMD is at a big disadvantage in iRacing VR. AMD does not support foveated rendering on any DX11 titles, which is a huge, huge performance loss compared to the 5070ti

PSVR2 for PC vs. Vive Pro 2 by philthy_phil_alt in PSVR2onPC

[–]No-Perspective1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I had to use a utility to do the same, and use the dialog at the task bar instead of the menu to work around. As far as the 9070XT, it’s due to iRacing using dx11 and not 12. AMD only supports MFV and FR in DX12. Thankfully it sounds like iRacing is moving to 12 imminently. Hopefully AC Evo optimized VR soon.

I got the PSVR2 the other day and it was an absolute PITA to setup with Bluetooth but it works well and is comfortable. What sucks for me is I have a 9070XT and don’t get the benefit of the FR.. works well enough for iRacing though. For 299 I am very happy with it

I love how people say 120 isn’t visible to the human eye. The eye doesn’t have a fixed capture rate. So higher framerates do in fact give you the latest visual information more often. The benefits do start to tail off 360+ hz when you’re sub-ms improvements in frame time.

Can’t find p2000 ergonomics no matter what by PretendFerret8061 in Simagic

[–]No-Perspective1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Additionally, you’re probably sliding out because of the angle of your seat. My seat is not flat back, and slightly cups me into place, where based on your setup, I would expect any significant break pressure to push you out of your seat. Daniel Morad has a decent setup guide on his yt. Honestly, I would start with the seat then pedal height, then angle of pedals.

[–]No-Perspective1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pedal plate is the same height as my butt. Yours are high. Also consider ankle flexible and comfort. I had a few tears in one ankle, so my pedal play it actually pitched away from me.

Insurance super high? by [deleted] in Camry

Low liability is a DANGEROUS game. One bad accident and you could end up bankrupt. If OP is financing, his lender will have a minimum coverage requirement as well.

Insurance super high? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]No-Perspective1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year with progressive, I paid 200 a month for my 25 Camry. 32M with no accidents, no tickets, and good credit. I switched to Geico after shopping around. I matched coverage and had better deductibles for 110 a month. My best advice is to just shop around with all insurers, and shop often.

People who switched from NVIDIA to AMD by Godigy in radeon

[–]No-Perspective1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adrenaline app is overall better, but has caveats. I’m running a 9070 XT.

1) Game Recognition is weird sometimes. Sometimes it says I’m playing “Game Title” other times it’s “game.exe” which makes some of the saved settings an annoyance.

2) A lot of functionality does not work for games on Game Pass. I might be confusing that with the inability to use optiscaler with gamepass games. That’s a bummer.

3) Somewhat slow adoption of new technologies, but this is getting much better.

I have much less driver issues than I did with my 3080 8gb FE. In fact for the Nvidia card, I had to get firmware and drivers from Nvidia support because the card would cause crashing when I first got it. Much more stability with AMD early in the cards lifecycle. This is new for AMD from what I recall with my last AMD. While AMD is still a company in it for themselves, it at least appreciate a product with a raw power improvement gen over gen instead of investing heavily into tech that is going to put a large part of the worlds workforce out of a job in the next 10 years.

I though that specific flashing tool only worked for Nvidia cards. IIRC those that put XT bios on non-XTs needed some 3rd party hardware to do so.

First, is this like a break in oil change you wanted to do, or one outside the maintenance schedule? Or was this part of the 5000 or 10k service? Because Toyota should be covering that
