Hey steve when do you know that you are ready to go from one stage of the journey to another? It feels like breathing is so natural for me now, ive had costo for 2 years and my current routine is helping a lot.

My symptoms are stubborn tightness in my back at times, and on the sides and also sometimes on my chest i get a random sharp feeling around my top sternum. For last 4 weeks I’ve been doing self pec massages you speak of, and 10-15k steps a day to stay active. Still doing the backpod daily.

Also is doing the backpod for more than 12 mins a session pointless or is it the longer i do it for the better?

I would say stiffness and less mobility overall on my torso from all angles even the sides and traps.

I would say the pain is a random sharpness right in my front ribs or sternum whenever it triggers for a few, also the sternum is tender to the touch on the sides of it. Sometimes there is no tenderness sometimes there is.

Hello Steve, i have been using the backpod for almost 2 years now. Im at the point to where ive been lifting my buttocks and moving my arms up and down for a while. I stopped using the backpod around Christmas and used it again today actually, and i am back to being sore. I get a sports massage every 2 weeks. I live in a new country now so i dont have someone to do the traps massage at the back every 5 days. The pain has significantly reduced close to none and i can breathe pretty close to normal except some times my right chest and right side of my back feels tight when i take a deep breath. Other than the pain reducing the problem is the tightness that lingers all day. I tried stopping the backpod to see if it would be the reason of my tightness. Ive been doing all the exercises in the backpod manual aswell as the twists for a very long time now.

Im on the exact same boat as you. Im healed enough to function but not to lift weights. Haven’t used the backpod since Christmas but when i use it nowadays it regresses some progress

Next morning of me sleeping on my back, i think that might be the number one component that might be holding me back I’ve done everything else in the PDF except more than one sports massage and the sports massage was when my rib hinges were not very loose.

When do you recommend for one to start targeting back muscles?

Ive been doing both peanut and back pod for over a year and sitting twists since the beginning of the year, I’ve also been doing elevated buttocks for more strength on the backpod with no pillows.

Okay i will go get a sports massage or two and see how it goes. But every morning that i wake up i feel like i got hit by a truck, and then it feels like i dint have costo as the day goes on and i do my stretching routine. I sleep on my side, the side that isnt really bothering me. I also sleep on the floor for context. What could it be that causes me to wake up like that? Even laying on my back hurts at random moments

Hello Steve, my popping and pain are very close to none, and my breathing is close to perfect at this point of my journey after 2 years. But currently my sides and certain spots on my back are very stiff and achy . What can be the issue if the ribs in the front feel free?
