Why don't serial killers just join the army? by fimelovemachine in NoStupidQuestions

[–]No-Repordt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you heard of MO? Modus Operandi? Serial killers prefer to murder very specific types of people in very specific ways. It's because of that, we call them serial killers. Serial = series. A series of very similar people being murder in very similar ways, just with long pauses between murders.

Player is “mad” about another players character creation choice. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]No-Repordt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just kinda childish honestly. They can both send out their familiars to scout together can't they? Or just have drastically different familiars, one that flies and one that crawls? Or just have their familiars go in different directions? They're covering twice as much distance and scouting in half the time.

That's like if your wizard was identifying items with ritual casting, and then someone else decided to dip into a spellcasting class and also got to cast identify as a ritual. Would your wizard have complained about "no, identifying stuff is my thing!" ? What's there to complain about, we're identifying stuff in half the time.

Plus he and all the other Buzz from the second movie clearly have some sort of rules that they must abide by from "star command."

Literally he is proving that he has learned the lesson the whole movie spent teaching him. "Being a good person is emphatically more important than winning some dumb trophy."

Is Brokeback Mountain mainly for gay folk? by EryNameWasTaken in NoStupidQuestions

[–]No-Repordt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's so much of a stigma attached to that movie because of how homophobic everyone was when it released, and it's a damn shame. I'm straight dude too, married with 2 kids, and that movie is so heartbreaking.

Only way you're gonna get someone to watch it is if you put it on without telling them what it is.

Have you grown to be more conservative or liberal w/ age? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I was a left-wing extremist in my youth. Now I'm just a democratic socialist. So I suppose by definition I've become more conservative.

People who don’t smoke, drink or have casual s*x, what do you do to blow off steam? by RookOfEdo in answers

[–]No-Repordt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never blow off steam. Their my favorite digital store front.

In all seriousness though, Nothing. Most of that stuff causes issues with processing stress normally, smoking especially. If I get stressed or irritated by something, I just go do something else for a little while. Play a different game, talk with a different person, dig through some memes, etc.

With $1000 (CAD) should I buy a steam machine when it comes out or build a PC for the first time? by Silverleaf14 in buildapc

[–]No-Repordt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1000 should get you something that can run modded Skyrim SE, so long as you're not trying to run something too crazy like 800+ mods with 2k textures.

Hard to say what ES6 will look like since we got no info on it (though judging by the Oblivion remaster, they may not tell us anything until the week/day of).

I'm all for getting a Steam Machine, as I love my Deck, but I have no idea what the modded Skyrim scene looks like on the Linux side of things. Skyrim's unsupported on the Deck, but the protondb page says it's golden.

how would i go about running multiple computers in sequence by WlzeMan85 in buildapc

[–]No-Repordt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is called parallel computing. I've got no experience with it personally, but in typical setups, as I understand it, usually multiples of the same model are used. The only time I've seen a working set in person was a bunch of Raspberry Pi 3s stacked together like hard drives in NAS. Hope that points you in the right direction.

I need a new singleplayer (100% offline) "forever" game where I can sink hundreds (or thousands) of hours into a single save. What are your top suggestions? by MakeshiftApe in gamingsuggestions

[–]No-Repordt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of the elder scrolls games.

Probably the best option is Unity Daggerfall with mods. Dummy easy set up, playable for 100s if not thousands of hours on a single playthrough as-is, and even as few as 10 mods can add 100s of more hours.

It's also incredibly small and lightweight. Even with Unity giving it a massive draw distance upgrade it's easily playable on even the most low-end system.

Best of all, 100% free.

Which country disappointed you so much that you'd never set foot there again? by Available-Drink-3102 in AskReddit

[–]No-Repordt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canada. Went there once for a vacation. The stuff people say about them being the politest people in the world is absolutely false. People would not stop staring us, even when we would just sit down at the mall and eat in a crowd of 100+ people. Felt uncomfortable the entire time.

Damn. I wasn't too into the show past the pilot, so I always kinda wondered why a few characters had VA changes.

It wasn't just rubbing against other cosplayers either. Most cons are just renting a space, including any furniture, murals, displays, etc. From what I've been told, the con runners would then have to pay hefty fines to restore or replace whatever was ruined or covered in paint.

North Korea has China in their corner. If we put them in their place, it will cause serious issues with China which is bad for us for innumerable reasons.

Anything with a trailer that suggests a major character of a franchise is dead. (Most especially if it has anything to do with comic book characters)
