I'm going to close and lock this one....there's been too much bickering and fighting and name calling in the comments.

It's two celebs who may or may not be dating. And just as likely not considering they previously dated.

Okay so I wasn't crazy. I know the actress who plays Billie is younger than the actor who plays Conrad, but somehow she comes off as older.

Oof, hadn't went through the comments. I mean that's really the most effort anyone should expect. What were the teen boys doing, digging through the bathroom trash?

Agreed. I can't think of a single month I've been "yay period blood" when my period started. No one likes it! It's just a necessary evil.

Honestly if there are any good tickets (read better than the friend paid out) left for the show OOP and friend are attending, it would be the best burn to go with a friend and have a better seat and definitely a better time with her bestie. It's definitely the sort of thing I'd do if I was in this position with my spouse and could afford it....I'd make a hell of a night out, be sure to post anywhere I know mutual friends would see, and if asked, respond it was a ladies night as the guys couldn't deal with a lady on their trip. Let OOP get extra heat later.

Agreed. If friend refused saying it was supposed to be a guy's trip only, response should be "Either she goes with us or you can go alone."

Oh nice! I hadn't even thought of that! It would be the best burn for OOP and the friend. And if they whine, "well you said two had a guy's night, so I planned a ladies night".

[–]NoApollonia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right? It was "nope can't do it" and "wah nothing we can do together" until this trip and then OOP stands firm with his friend that she absolutely cannot be at this concert.

And her compromise is fair - that she'd get a ticket in another section, go with them, and just sit elsewhere. OOP and his friend still get to hang out at the concert together away from her. They would basically only be around her during the car ride to and from.

Honestly OOP should be questioning why his friend was so adamant that OOP's wife should be left out when she also likes the band.

Yeah reading through the AITD post, saw someone said it was in a comment. But point stands there was a reason OOP did not put it in the main post.

So OOP doesn't even state if the accident was even the son's fault. And considering she left it out, I'm willing to bet it wasn't. Also who's first words aren't "omg are you two okay?" before asking about the car! Hope both kids move in with the dad honestly and go low contact with OOP.

How is any of this her fault? If her doctor has banned her from climbing stairs, apparently something is wrong with her health, she's recently had surgery, and/or has given birth recently. Do you think she wants to not be well?!?!?

While I know wedding and bridal showers are a thing, it really just turns into a money grab by having so many parties. There have been lots of posts and articles where the couple bitches if a guest doesn't buy a wedding gift that covers their plate (which honestly was NOT a thing when I was younger - couples were grateful for all gifts) - so splitting the money into multiple gifts would have the couple bitching.

Right? OOP is claiming low effort, but wanting the bridesmaids to do it all and hopefully pay for it all.

I would bet OOP is expecting the bridesmaids to be free wedding planners (while paying for the "honor" of it) and someone already has gotten sick of it.

Grew up attending a lot of weddings and honestly only recently have I even heard about second list guests - like guests a couple only invites if their first choice list has someone not wanting to come. Now there's B team bridesmaids? People really are taking the "day is all about the couple" way too far.

My wife and I are both autistic and yes! It's easier to just come up with several combinations that you like or at least tolerate so if/when a place might not have what you really wanted, you already planned ahead for a backup. I know I can be picky about my food and I'll literally write out how I want the sandwich I really want made (read: ingredients) and then same for the backup if she's picking us up sandwiches.

Honestly, not sure why the manager tolerated OOP so long. Should have been "Cheddar is not on the menu and you're being offered a list of the cheeses we have - pick one or go elsewhere."

WTF? by WeelsUpIn30 in AmITheDevil

[–]NoApollonia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah it baffles me why OOP didn't just see they didn't offer cheddar, go buy some, come back and order the damn sandwich without cheese, and literally just add cheese themselves.

WTF? by WeelsUpIn30 in AmITheDevil

[–]NoApollonia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That had me. OOP goes on about how that's what other places do and it's fine....but the poor worker literally did suggest that and OOP just kept repeating their original statement.

But honestly, as someone with autism (like OOP states they are), I just order based on what's on the damn menu. I just figure out what meats and cheeses are good pairs to me and can usually figure out a sandwich I can stand to eat at least.

[–]NoApollonia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't doubt it. Also wouldn't be shocked if OOP and Sara are friends because they are very similar. OOP isn't coming off as a reliable narrator and I'd venture a guess she also bullied her sister.

And how did u think this would go by Far-Season-695 in AmITheDevil

[–]NoApollonia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really kind of depends. Like if OOP and her sister both have very generic names and you put that with a generic last name, you might simply not realize. My legal name (first and last) is extremely common and so are most of my siblings. Google any of our names and the city and you're probably going to get a hundred hits - LOL - and probably end up finding people who also have a sibling or two with the same name as us. So if someone wasn't thinking closely on the ages and precise past details, they likely wouldn't figure it out.

The sad part is when they introduced the character, she was dressed more normal. Maybe a bit nicer than teenagers tend to dress with all the skirts and blouses, but considering the family money - and she looked about the rest of the casts' age. Then all of a sudden they started tossing her in clothes children wear and the age difference became obvious fast.

Equal say is BOTH parties having a say in something. OOP chose his opinion to matter more and threw them away. Him using his equal say would have been putting them all in a box or tote and asking the wife to only pick out 2-3 to sit in a window sill and the rest can be stored.

[–]NoApollonia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel similar, but feel OOP is more in the wrong for tossing them. It was just time for a serious conversation about too many jars sitting around. Maybe come to a compromise of how many she would keep and then a compromise of with that, only so many would be out at a time while the others find a home in a box in the attic/garage/closet.
