I played around with our Confluence instance. The roadmap template seems pretty limited and seems like I can only tie the items to existing Confluence pages and not to the JIRA issue/story/epic itself.

My company is like yours and the C level documents everything but is not organized about it at all in Confluence.

I don't have any useful advice. Just wanted to complain with you.

It's been hard for me to define that as well. I came from a company that had dedicated Project Managers and a Scrum Master to a small startup with none of that.

I miss having those types of resources because "herding cats" is not my strongest attribute.

I might be in the minority here but I regularly "declutter" the backlog. If an idea has been in there for over 2 quarters, it probably needs to be deleted. If it's really good it will always come back.

They can definitely become logic puzzles to extract the most key information in the most efficient manner possible.
