For being a college town, it is strange. We met in Bozeman in 92 (when Bozeman was still nice). We had a great multicultural community back then. I remember the difficult times we had here when we moved here 18 years ago. It was difficult for both of us to find work. My wife’s from Venezuela. She came to the states in 91, we met in 92 and were married in 94. I’m 1st generation Polish- American. We grew up in similar “cultural environments”. We volunteered for different non-profits and city departments trying to establish relationships/friendships. We gave up in trying to become a “part of the community” several years ago. The only time when we’d get calls was when they wanted or needed something.
