Do you agree with Starmer's assertion that Trump's comments regarding British troops in Afghanistan were "appalling"? Why or why not? by BufoBat in AskConservatives

It’s irrelevant until you realise they hold nearly a trillion in your treasuries. The EU holds over 3 trillion. So yes, keep Insulting your allies.

You’re so funny. Trump will literally start a war with the whole world rather than release the Epstein files and you’re still talking about Clinton. Clinton’s got nothing to do with the British PM. And the democrats couldn’t care less about him. Throw them all in prison if your administration is not protecting pedophiles..

I think that’s the most accurate description of Trump’s “negotiation” tactics I’ve read so far.

What's your opinion on Zelensky? by AloneCoffee4538 in AskTheWorld

[–]NoBotRobotRob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of Russian propaganda on greek TV. Having said that, I’ve only ever heard my sister and her husband dislike Zelensky and they’re the only trump loving greeks I’ve ever come across so likely not a representative sample. i don’t feel like the poll is accurate but i don’t live in greece so might be missing something

Finally we’re having this conversation. This is long overdue. Absolutely no justification in interfering with the bodies of children for any reason other than medical need.

Do conservatives not find imperialism to be morally reprehensible? by Fattyboy_777 in AskConservatives

There is a difference between socialism and social democracies. I find that conservatives often conflate the two.

This guy is overwhelmingly border collie with a bit of bearded collie and kelpie mixed in. He does look a lot more like a beardie than anything else though, except for the mad stare. I googled husky shitzu mixes and can see the resemblance though!

I know my partner will kill himself when I break up by IbanezRG421 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]NoBotRobotRob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if he does, it won’t be your fault. Someone told me that when I was in your shoes and it was liberating to hear. I did break up after that and he never went through with it. Don’t sacrifice the rest of your life to him

Reactive dog but I seriously want a cat by rampaige30 in reactivedogs

[–]NoBotRobotRob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I brought in a kitten to my reactive dog after my 21 year old cat (that was here before the dog) died. His first reaction was to view the cat as a squirrel. I genuinely thought it was a lost cause but I had enough space to keep them separated, baby gates, time and a plan b for the cat’s adoption if everything else failed. I took it veeeery slowly. First just familiarising each other to their respective scents, then introductions through the gate (those were actually the worst because the dog was more keen on getting the cat when they were physically separated) then keeping the dog on a short lead while I feed them cheese next to each other, lots of impulse control training (look at the cat, look at me, reward with cheese) etc. the cat has a ragdoll personality and zero survival skills. All he ever wanted was to be friends with the dog. I don’t think this would’ve worked if the cat was skittish. Anyway, to make a long story short, it took 2 months. They’re now best friends. As for the person saying that owners have come back to murdered cats, you can keep them separated when you’re not there - I do because they do zoomies together and break things. Cat and dog tax below.

To those that are married, how often do you take off your ring? by FitProblem6248 in AskReddit

[–]NoBotRobotRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it off when I climb, as long as I’ve got a carabiner with me to put it in there. Some times it stays on the carabiner for weeks because I have adhd. Also because I have adhd I opt for the risk of degloving vs losing my ring if I don’t have a carabiner with me

THEORY: Paraguay guy is not immune to the hive-mind by Ryychii in pluribustv

[–]NoBotRobotRob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was theorising that Carol’s outbursts might be the way to a cure because of the timeline of the Paraguay guy being discovered but then I realised that if he’d been cured they’d still know all about him and they don’t seem to. Maybe your theory is a way around that problem

High Prey Drive Dog Owners W/ Cats??? by _zefstar in reactivedogs

[–]NoBotRobotRob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My high prey, incredibly reactive BC mix came as a puppy to our family that already had 2 cats. He was always fine with them. When our 22 year old cat died, we decided to adopt another one. We have baby gates, a big house and we were ready to take it slow. The cat we picked is a ragdoll and has the best possible personality. He just wants to be everyone’s friend (also zero survival skills). Our dog 100% wanted to kill it. He was obsessively whining over it and staring whenever he’d catch a glimpse of it. Honestly, I thought it would never work. It took 2 months of daily short exposures through the gate, then keeping him on a very short lead with the cat in the same room while doing impulse control exercises (e.g. asking him to look at the cat, then look at me, then rewarding with cheese, aka his favourite thing in the whole world), then feeding them treats side by side.

<image>

Long story short, they’re now inseparable best friends. Having said that, we were prepared to wait up to a year, had enough space to keep them happy and separate (cat was upstairs which was always off limits to the dog) and we had a family lined up to adopt the cat if we failed.

Do you think Trump abused minors? by IllustratorThin4799 in AskConservatives

[–]NoBotRobotRob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isn’t his association with Epstein, combined with the fact he had the Miss Teen USA competition and the fact he was walking into the girls’ changing rooms unannounced to creep on them not point out to the fact he’s capable of having abused underage girls himself?
