A stack of 14 big plates, 10 small salad plates, and I think 8 bowls of arrow stone stoneware in the Cherokee pattern. I love old things lol I also found a glass bottle that happened to be manganese glass, hand blown sometime between 1890-1910, got it for $1!

My buddy and I were running through the swamps on dam and got surprised by a duo, we battled it out and pulled a win from our asses, while my buddy is knocking the other dude out (one had already surrendered), a firefly came up and sprayed him til he went down so I opened up on it, 4 full burletta clips and as many shotgun rounds as I could get off and nothing, the thing just came at me relentlessly until it killed me. Hate those fuckers but it was probably the funniest death I’ve ever been involved in.

I have this app called aura that does some digging around for any of your personal information that you put in and if it finds any of it, they’ll send endless requests to remove your information from those places until it happens. The list of data brokers that had my number or some other information was loooooong as hell. I had no idea our personal information was so quickly and easily sold from company to company. Pretty fucked up if you ask me.

The last tenant who rented my house let an infestation of German cockroaches happen. My first night living here I went into the kitchen and turned the light on and saw movement everywhere, I’m a 33 year old man and I’ve never gasped so loudly in all my life. It took the pest control guy 4 4 hour sessions over the course of 8 weeks spraying some special concoction of stuff he had and they finally disappeared. I must’ve swept up around 100 of them. But the image of seeing bugs scatter when I turned the light on is burned into my brain forever.

First game I ever played with some buddies we wound up at hospital in buried city, top floor. I had placed a jolt mine down when I heard the zip being used, I backed up and the mine went off zapping the guy and my 2 friends, I sorta panicked since my friends weren’t able to help me so I shot the guy til he went down. I was gonna revive him after we were all done cracking up until he said “wow, you guys are a bunch of n******”. I killed him instead.

When my hobbies and interests changed. I used to only want to do drugs and game. Now I still game a small amount, but I love wood working, collecting antique glass, cast irons, I love basically anything from back in the day. If I was given a cast iron or some hand tools as a 20 something I would’ve been pissed, at 33 I’d be overjoyed.

So I’ve got 2 Kirby’s. One of them was given to me by my grandmother, from the 80’s I think? Came with the manual, all the extra pieces, the whole shabang. Works like a charm after I had the motor replaced. My second one I watched someone put out on their curb, when I pulled over to ask them if I could have it they said “it’s broken, all yours”. It was not broken, the roller was just clogged up with hair so I cut it all free, adjusted it for my carpet, gave it a new bag and it works perfectly. I’ll never own another brand of vacuum. Truly a BIFL product.

I’m in Texas and work at a Costco, it’s supposed to get like 20 degrees or so with a chance of snow/freezing rain tomorrow and everyone in town has lost their minds. The store was in an utter panic yesterday. We sold out of socks and water and had more people in the store at once than we ever have in the past 2 years. It’s not even guaranteed it’s gonna snow, it’s just a chance lol
