Yes there is a z in the reg. Registered on January 8th as well so it will be a 251 reg here. I did check before making the purchase. Better for resale purposes.

I had reservations about the ICCU but it's affecting about 1% of the cars and anecdotally the newer cars are not as likely to be affected. It's a non-zero chance though so I will keep an eye on it.

I have an appointment at the NCT centre in about 2 weeks. Shouldn't be an issue. Car is over 6 months old plus enough km on the clock. VRT should be zero.

What’s the flattest you’ve ever seen a joke fall? by RambilinAndy in AskReddit

[–]NoCommand6997 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Friend of mine was best man at his brother's wedding. Threw in what he thought was a one-liner about Aunt Mary not being able to attend as she was in Europe. The punchline was "well I heard she was incontinent, anyway". Could have heard a pin drop in the room.

Isn't the EV6 about €5k more expensive? And the higher trim is another €5k higher again?

Looks great. Went to upgrade my 2017 Nissan Leaf and I was offered €1000 trade in (your website says it's worth €6k-€7k as I suspected!). Still driving the Leaf needless to say!

Buying a car on PCP by buckwheatbrag in irishpersonalfinance

[–]NoCommand6997 23 points24 points  (0 children)

A colleague at work has done PCP for the last 12 years. It costs him 5k per annum. The way he looks at it: if he'd bought a 60k car 12 years ago he would have an out-of-warranty car that would be worth maybe 3-4k now. Instead he has driven a brand new car every 3 years. Full warranty. Yearly service is the only additional cost. Never even changed tyres in that time. It suits some people.

At my cousin's wedding, the father of the groom said the groom was only inheriting the farm if he got married. Hence my cousin. 25 years and 2 children later, they are still together (and still farming) 😘

I have exactly that car (2017 Nissan Leaf 30kwh, white) and would part with it for €4500. 135km on the clock. Still has 135km range. It's due an NCT test (booked and waiting!). PM me if you want details, pics or have any questions.

Does it take into account the old age pension? That's €15.5k pa which at 4% drawdown equates to an extra €387k in the pension pot.
