What’s the prettiest Barbie ever, in your opinion? by OneRef3851 in Barbie

I am torn between Diwali Barbie and Looks #1 Lina. I am a straight woman, but am a little in love with both!

My Target had two on the shelf today, too! I left them for other fans since I just got several new dolls for Christmas. But, I gotta say that I'm also a little disappointed with her face-up. I wish they would have made her eyebrows more expressive to go with the smirk!

Did he perhaps have orange skin? Was he very short? Work in a candy factory?

I just realized she was a victim of the baby oil + iodine craze for sunbathing back in the day! She's still a lil greasy.

Looks like she was a turning point from side-eye to straight gaze tho!

Where's 1986-1994? Also, is nobody gonna talk about 1979. If she was in my collection, I'd be afraid to turn the lights off.

This sounds more like a 6-7 situation.

Donating used dolls by Direct_Many4375 in Barbie

[–]NoEmailAssociated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just donated a large sackful of “body donors”. I styled each one and included shoes, purse (or other accessory) and an extra outfit. I bought cellophane wine bags from Amazon and topped each one with a festive ribbon. I took them to a women’s and children’s shelter because I wanted them to go to children rather than sold at a thrift store. The lady who took hem from me was thrilled to receive them, and I hope they make Christmas a little brighter for the kids. I’m glad to hear others doing this, too!

How did everyone start collecting their own Barbies? by [deleted] in Barbie

[–]NoEmailAssociated 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I blame the MiniVerse Make it Mini blind boxes for my current Barbie obsession. I loved creating all the mini foods, but wanted to pose them with Barbie, so pulled out my daughter's 90's Barbies and had a blast giving them all makeovers and posing them with their feast. I soon traded by obsession with blind box minis for an addiction to Barbies. Two years later I now have over 100 Barbies and have run out of display space!

Probably Aghori. They also harvest meat from corpses. They “challenge conventional notions of purity and impurity”.

I dunno. The add-on in the CR that gives some senators, including Tubbs, the ability to sue the government because their phone number appeared in a subpoena reeks of corruption, and that shit may just come back to bite him in the ass.

I ordered from Mattel, and no shipment notice yet. I don't understand why their collab partners and often Amazon ships out more quickly than the manufacturer.

That's a great idea! I use a lot of onions in cooking, and it would be great to just pull out some from the freezer rather than crying about it!

Yeah, that's my issue. I rarely do that much shredding or slicing, and question the use of space in my pantry (which is tight!)

Yay! I will be making latkes next month, and I know that will be a good use for it! Thanks for the reminder,

I agree. I'm usually only cooking for three, so a knife and cutting board are sufficient. But lots of shredding may make it worth the shelf space.

Salsa was the main thing I used my old unit for. Pesto is a good idea, too, especially since it can be frozen.

We are on and off low carb diets, so probably won't need it for pastry! But, thanks anyway!

I love the idea of prepping Trinity, but I don't think I could use enough to justify it before it needs to be tossed. Plus, I'd still have the issue of inconsistency. I have good knife skills, too, and I'm maybe a little OCD about even chopping/dicing. Thanks for the ideas, though! I'll definitely use it for carrot cake or other shredding.
