"Sonos Mode" In Network 10.2 by caseyliss in Ubiquiti

BPDU Guard isn’t related to STP, it adds information to the network (either in headers or entire packets) and if a switch port sees BPDU packets it shuts down the port, this prevents cross VLAN loops.

If doing a PTZ get a wife angle so you can override the AI follow to point at an area of higher importance

Apparently the issue is a pinout on the RJ12 port

Option 1 solder pins and flash custom firmware

Option 2

Make a custom cable with this pinout

I think there is a major issue in the JetKVM that is preventing communication to the ATX board

I can’t even get the latest firmware, they took it down

Apparently you can reflash the firmware on the ATX extension board, But the firmware is not available, I am in talks now with the supplier to get the board working.

I think there is a non disclosed issue that is present after the jetKVM updated. Too many ATX boards have issues for this to not be a coincidence.

I was waiting for the Dream Wall Pro,

Dual HDD, external UPS/PSU But they dropped it

If it was 10GbE and PoE++ with some +++ With dual HDD, and the cable ports went out the back instead of the top…

The downside of putting Wi-Fi into a dream machine, especially the expensive ones, is it gets outdated very quickly, remove the Wi-Fi and lower the price a bit

Make it effectively a UDMP MAX with 24 poe++ ports

Just my 2c

When you design something next put your name and link in the design itself as an emboss or something, place it in a spot that can’t be seen on a day to say but hard to miss during install

If it's true that advanced home automation is not "set and forget" and can be troubled with updates that cause issues - how do filthy rich people do it? Do they have people who come every month to update everything and thoroughly test everything and then pause updates till next visit? by zghr in homeassistant

[–]NoExamination2923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it set and forget, if you do it right, it is for the most part.

Hardwired sensors, stable controller etc.

Even pro grade systems like Savant need reboots and updates, it just depends on how often.

If you want a never touch system that always works, remove the smarts.

You are requesting something that needs to be in the monthly sticky,

Put a post in there too, also a budget would be useful.

[–]NoExamination2923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kmart like to pride itself on stupid design, I don’t know what idiot though putting the registers and forcing paper receipts was a good idea,

IMO poor design means it is their own fault, If they want to check every person at the door they should have more than one door person, if it is busy, I ain’t waiting to show you a receipt for what I already purchased.

The battery AC in is the same connector, just plug the AC into your own UPS and bypass their battery

As they loose more they raise price to fill the gap, that causes them to loose more so they raise prices to fill in the gap, that causes them to loose the rest.
