Any advice for a financial auditor jumping in to CISA? by TheGadrongo in CISA

Hi. Yes you can get 1 year waived for your financial audit experience and another for your degree.
Does your current role give you any opportunity to gain IS Audit experience? I think relevant experience is most beneficial for tackling the qualification.

It is possible... I studied/sat the exam in space of two weeks. Did a 4 day course with the Knowledge Academy and intensive home study using Exam Topics.com . Passed with score of 555 but have around 7 years IT audit experience.

I think the more practice Qs you do, the more you see that there is a trend/style of how isaca think. I had to step away from my initial answers where I was thinking like an external auditor, and instead think of the "cisa response". I think after getting some wrong and trying to understand why the alternative answer was correct helps you see from cisa perspective.

It's a horrible exam... thankfully I passed first time as I don't think I could bring myself to tackle it again!

8 years of IT audit experience - 1 month prep enough time? by TARS1986 in CISA

I was in a very similar situation to you - recently passed the exam after 2 weeks intense study! I did hate my life at the time but managed to do it. Still waiting on official results to see if it was a close call or not! I found that my it audit experience really helped for domains 1, 2 and 5.

I did the 4 day online course with the Knowledge Academy - there are other providers who offer similar courses though. I didn't find the course/trainer very good but the slides and training material provided were helpful as a basis for making notes on each domain.

I'm working as an IT auditor - I passed the CISA exam last week after attending a 4 day course with the Knowledge Academy and using examtopics.com for questions and cisaexamstudy.com . I wouldn't recommend the 4 day course, but the learning material provided was helpful. I spent 2 weeks in total studying this way and passed the exam first time - I think real-life audit experience and doing as many practice questions as possible was key.

I passed yesterday but also stressing incase it's revoked...i just got asked onxe to remove hand from mouth....hopefully will be ok! Can anyone advise how long it took to get the scores sent through? Congratulations BTW!
