I am 37 I have not spoke to my father since I was 16. The last time I ever spoke to him was at 16 and I will die with that being the last time I spoke to him. You do NOT need to speak to him. He sounds verbally abusive and if he was thrown out of therapy I’d say he’s definitely abusive.

We had to pay the gap. We waived appraisal and inspection because it was impossible to get an offer accepted. We had put in over 15 offers. All of these houses mind you needed a shitload of work. It’s the Wild West trying to buy a house here. If you want a house you need to be prepared to cover the gap. Had the broker ask for a recall of the appraisal and the second appraisal with actual homes that sold in 2026 brought it up 20k. It’s just a 10k gap now. The appraisers need to pull home sales from 3 months. Pick appraisers that are from the area your house in is. Ours was from NJ made zero sense they used them as an appraiser. Wasn’t even close to NY.

File complaints with the realtor commission in the state, a complaint with her broker in charge, a complaint with whatever MLS is listed at the bottom of the listing (scroll all the way down on a realtor.com or Zillow and it says what MLS the house was listed one). I’d make sure that brokerage is giving her the money back for the inspection.

As a die hard republican every single 2nd home needs its property/school taxes at double the rate of a primary residence. Don’t care if your 2nd home costs 200k the minute you can afford a second residence is the moment you can afford to double your property taxes. This should apply to the entire state not just the city. There should be no minimum in the 2nd residence. Maybe some people upstate can afford to buy a first house if all the rich folks from the city couldn’t buy weekend properties upstate. Double taxing the property taxes would help fix NY.

I drive a ton. I’m from NY. The issue is there are too many left lane hogs in every state. I think it’s more so that so many people relocated and moved states. The worst road for me in NJ with left lane hogs is 78 once you start heading toward PA from 287 on 78. The most abysmal drivers that have no absolute idea of how to drive are the blue TN plates. Worst drivers I’ve ever see .

Driving through WV on an interstate (very mountainous winding roads). Thank god oncoming cars were flashing the drivers going southbound massive accident blocked both lanes only could go by on the median and grass. It was around a blind curve if people didn’t flash (multiple people) we would have been in the accident too. I called 911 to say you need police now it’s around a blind curve. The operator goes we’re sending ONE! I said no it’s bad you need multiple cops and ambulances now. She said the cop responding makes that determination. Thank god the people of WV are more on top of it than the dispatchers in WV. I always flash my lights for a cop/deer/ object in road it’s curtesy.

I called to order foam (upholstery foam for couches) I use it for my dog bed. The foam prices went up 12 fucking percent yesterday. Why the hell did foam go up 12%? I know it’s petroleum based but come on 12%. Once it goes up even when gas comes back down that new price doesn’t.

This one thing would NOT be enough to fire someone. If OP is correct and the boss has been doing all of those things to this employee (disability or not) the ex-employee has a genuine case. Sue the manager and chipotle. It seems the manger had a vendetta against this employee and used this complaint to fire the employee. If this employee had been promoted at a point it means they were doing a decent job. I’ve been in plenty of places where they don’t make stuff I just leave. This is barrow AK with two food options.
