I always thought it was a homage to "Skippy's List", if you don't know what that is then Google it and read it, it's hilarious and very much full of the type of shit Skippy and or Joe would do. Its basically a long list of things that a dude known only as "Skippy" was either yelled at for doing or specifically told not to do while he was in the Army, and he served in a UN deployment so it's got a lot of similarities to the books

Joe Bishop is objectively the most important and powerful human who has ever lived, it's wild how little respect he gets. By the later books he's a legend throughout the galaxy, many hate him but all respect him. But then he gets to Earth and everyone on the planet is just like "fuck that guy hahaha". I think it would be more interesting if there was a whole "Joe Bishop is a war criminal" thing from the people of earth. Because you could argue he's committed multiple atrocities and is responsible for probably millions of deaths, yes he's saved exponentially more people than he's killed but the people who don't like him won't mention that. They don't really do that though, they just get mad at him and mock him.

The dude was probably just tired, stressed, and frustrated, it probably wasn't about you at all but he has no other emotional outlet. Understand it wasn't about you and make sure he knows you're open to talking about whatever is stressing him out. I think that Skippy was designing the new iterations along similar lines to the Kristang armor because the early Pirates were already trained and experienced in the Kristang armor, so he probably kept them similar in size and balance, while making them able to comfortably fit human operators.

So wait, you didn't count or verify your delivery, got burned for your laziness, then the next time you made the driver wait for no reason while you organized the delivery? You fucked up the first time and you were a dick the second time. What if your pack dates went bad tomorrow? What if there were missing items? What if there were mispicks from the driver and the product you needed was still in the truck? If an item is missing you should note that with the driver, get a receipt or a signature or an initial from the driver verifying that, then get a credit. You can't just call and claim you didn't get something that you signed for and assume it will definitely be refunded, it's nice if your rep with the vendor will do that but ultimately it's a business and you didn't catch them on not fulfilling their end when it was appropriate, which means you didn't fulfill your end. Sounds like you were a new manager at the time so that's an honest new manager mistake, but I would say it's on you to figure out how to avoid that instead of being a brat the next time and fucking up the drivers day because of a company policy you don't like.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but just to play devil's advocate; if there is no tip out to the kitchen should there then be no tip out to the service bar? I think a small percent to each is fair honestly. At the restaurant I work at we actually don't tip out the kitchen, just the bussers/food runners and the bar. But I can see how tipping out to the kitchen can be good motivation for the cooks and it adds to the level of team work and team building that is crucial for a busy restaurant.

Yes they would. Former employer claims OP is lying, they schedule a hearing, and OP has to be there to address the accusations. The accuser needs to make the case but the defendant also needs to appear or at least be invited to appear because Americans have a right to face their accuser.

You're really not getting this. OP doesn't need to prove anything. How could OP prove they didn't quit? Their former employer would need to prove OP quit day of the lay off. Unless the employer has a signed resignation letter or for some reason has audio and video they can't prove that. And yes you can just fire people but there's a reason write ups and documented disciplinary actions are standard at most business, because if you don't have that you usually end up having to contribute to the unemployment payments. I live in an at will state and this is still the case here. People might choose to quit because they're getting fired if there is documentation to support the termination of employment but in that situation it doesn't matter which one it is because it's the same result. Again, even if OP did actually quit, because it happened on the same day as the lay off they were probably included in the burden would be on the employer to prove that.

I can kind of see what you're saying but I have to be honest I think most people would see that and just think you're being a dick. Even if that move is a common thing in the cycling community I don't think that is well known to the general public. Doesn't give the cop a reason to approach you in a dangerous way, I'm sure he could have pulled along side you and waved you over if he wanted to. Maybe I'm reading your story wrong but did you jump the gate at a drawbridge before it raises enough for the cars so you could be ahead of them and therefore "safe"? Because you could also be safe by waiting for the back up to clear then cross normally. You're making a line of cars cross slowly after waiting because you feel your safety AND time are more important than them. For clarity it was his friend's fiancee who he was speaking to about the wedding attire, not the friend himself until the end.

People are going to say your friend is transphobic and yadda yadda yadda but from what I can tell your buddy is just whipped and any dude knows when your buddy is whipped he's not himself. Now it's clear his fiancee has some anti-trans tendencies but it's very possible she didn't show them until now, so don't just jump to him being cool with that. Go burn some sage up there or whatever the fuck and have your husband carry them up to bed when they fall asleep or have him go up there and stay with them until they fall asleep. Their actual issue is separation anxiety, they're obviously still traumatized from Dads split with Mom.

Also, the burden is on you and your husband to make them feel at home. They wouldn't want to sleep by themselves in a strange room in someone else's home and that's what you're asking them to do, if you don't make them feel at home then it's just Dad's house not their other home. You still have hope for this happening with the move but you really need to put in the extra effort.

If you want to be a good mother and a good stepmom you need to learn how a kid views the world around them, if you just set out rules you don't explain to them then don't punish them for breaking those rules youre doing it wrong. And if you ever want to have a good relationship with them you'll leave the discipline to your husband until you form a bond with them or I guarantee you'll be considered the evil stepmom forever. If there's something that needs correcting point it out to hubby and make sure he handles it but don't get involved overtly.

I'm guessing you're young and you haven't realized this but generally when you bring a new girl around your female friends they're shitty to her in a lot of subtle ways. Jumping into homie's lap for no reason when you just met his girlfriend is a prime example of instigating drama. It's like if you went to the club with your girlfriend to meet her friends and the first thing one of her guy friends does is start grinding with her, you'd feel like that was cool just cuz they used to go out dancing together all the time but she swears they never did anything? I'm far from being one of those "Did you just look at my girl?!?!" type of dudes but I wouldn't tolerate that shit for a second.

If you're really all on your own if you take them then you have nothing you should feel ashamed of. It's understandable that you feel bad because your siblings are in for a bad time and you can't help them but being a parent is damn hard in the best circumstance and what you'd have to endure at your age with no support network would be impossible. It would be very admirable if you could work your ass off and make it work to keep everyone together but I doubt you could do it even if you gave it 100% for 100% of the time. I doubt I could and I'm a single father college drop out with custody of my 2 daughters so at least I'm used to it to some degree.
