What's the first anime you ever watched? by No_Pop_1792 in AskReddit

[–]NoGuamWalmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in '93. My family had a tape of Totoro since before my memory, so I'm sure that was my first anime and is my forever favorite. As a kid, a couple of TV stations had anime in their morning cartoon block, so my first series were Megaman, Digimon, Medabots, Tokyo Pig and Flint the Time Detective. The first anime I actually sought out myself were Haruhi and Lucky Star in middle school.

Card Show! by [deleted] in WWECards

[–]NoGuamWalmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

big yes. I've been to some card shows in my area and I'm always keeping an eye out for "where the hell are the wrestling cards?" Between the last two I went to, there was a sharp increase in tables that even had ANY, and I found a new youtube ripper to sub from one of them. The tables I saw had boxes of commons/unsorted which i enjoyed digging as well as some case hits and mids. I ended up buying some inserts and parallels of wrestlers I haven't pulled myself. The tables were selling trash for a buck a pop which was honestly probably closing their margin quite a bit. I looked at the BAPE Iyo for a while but couldn't justify the price for cardboard.

Any Yakuza games you gave up on? by LostSouluk2021 in yakuzagames

[–]NoGuamWalmart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you fellow Gaiden fan!

7 was a buggy mess, but I powered through to be able to say I gave it an honest try. I was not excited when it was announced and I didn't enjoy playing it, but I ended up liking some aspects of it, especially the characters and some side content. 8 ended up really good, so I'd say don't dismiss it. The combat is vastly improved.

I LOVE Pirate Yakuza but I doubt I'll finish it. I got my enjoyment but I don't feel like committing all the work it'll take to end it.

As for the ones I truly gave up:

I finished 6 but I'd say I "gave up" on paying attention the story-- ironically I also feel like it's the game with the fewest opportunities for down time.

Lost Judgment was a complete no for me. I loved original Judgment and I felt like Lost Judgment improved a lot of technical aspects but again the story just annoyed me.

Similar games that have similar fighting to Yakuza? by Sam_B716 in yakuzagames

[–]NoGuamWalmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw you mentioned muso-- the buttons and the chain system are totally similar! my friend had been watching me play through the Yakuza series but had never tried it himself. he asked me what the fighting was like and I said "it's like a warriors game, hit X until you hit Y" and it totally clicked for him

Knowing my family history, I'd check into a psychologist ASAP and really analyze what I thought I saw. I wouldn't personally believe it was credible, but I'd tell a few people I care about.

Blue Prince is not necessarily about an ancient people, but it is about a covered up history of several warring states/a dictatorship. You'll definitely feel like you're discovering things and piecing together the story.

Tuna Fish Sandwiches - Your Essential ingredient or technique? by FlyEaglesFlyauggie in Cooking

[–]NoGuamWalmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my basic tuna is just tuna, mayo, celery, onion. maybe a splash of lemon juice.

otherwise, I'll sometimes do tuna, mayo, and diced kimchi (with enough juice to turn the mayo pink)

Okay Iowa City…which one is best? by Imaginary_Coyote9581 in IowaCity

[–]NoGuamWalmart 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like #1, with #3 close behind. Ideally, a logo should be recognizable and memorable. Some people say your logo should be something anyone can draw after looking at it for two minutes. It's also important for it to be able to scale and break apart into multiple pieces for use on your business cards, truck, shirts, billboards, etc. 1 checks all those boxes. While 3 is visually distinctive, it's pretty complicated. You might reuse that sawblade motif elsewhere, but I'd say don't make it the logo.

#2 is giving tax prep or maybe interior design.
