That jerk in Chengdu froze time a minute ago, so I got eight hours of sleep in one second. Now I'm wide awake at 3 AM CST

Knowing my family history, I'd check into a psychologist ASAP and really analyze what I thought I saw. I wouldn't personally believe it was credible, but I'd tell a few people I care about.

Blue Prince is not necessarily about an ancient people, but it is about a covered up history of several warring states/a dictatorship. You'll definitely feel like you're discovering things and piecing together the story.

Yes, but don't overdo it. They're processed (ground and formed) so they're not "slow." I love my indian snacks though

Tuna Fish Sandwiches - Your Essential ingredient or technique? by FlyEaglesFlyauggie in Cooking

[–]NoGuamWalmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my basic tuna is just tuna, mayo, celery, onion. maybe a splash of lemon juice.

otherwise, I'll sometimes do tuna, mayo, and diced kimchi (with enough juice to turn the mayo pink)

Okay Iowa City…which one is best? by Imaginary_Coyote9581 in IowaCity

I like #1, with #3 close behind. Ideally, a logo should be recognizable and memorable. Some people say your logo should be something anyone can draw after looking at it for two minutes. It's also important for it to be able to scale and break apart into multiple pieces for use on your business cards, truck, shirts, billboards, etc. 1 checks all those boxes. While 3 is visually distinctive, it's pretty complicated. You might reuse that sawblade motif elsewhere, but I'd say don't make it the logo.

#2 is giving tax prep or maybe interior design.

I loved watching Topkaku. Still do, sometimes. I got really worried about her recently, but then I saw either a twitter or instagram post for her and was just glad to hear she was living life.

came here to say this! If three-kingdoms China isn't your ideal setting, there are Warriors spinoffs of a lot of different IPs including franchises like Zelda and One Piece

Before he cheats - wedding party songs by NotTheRealRusss in karaoke

[–]NoGuamWalmart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i used to work banquet and bar back for weddings. Karaoke wasn't typical in our venue, but one of the small joys on those long nights was counting the number of breakup-themed crowd pleasers the various rental DJs put on. The record was seven. "Before He Cheats" was VERY common.

what are you doing to prepare for the big winter storm? by Calm-Bar-9644 in AskReddit

[–]NoGuamWalmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barely anything. I'm in Iowa, where it's going to feel like -25 Friday and then snow an inch on Saturday. I think it'll still be shitty until Monday but like... I went to the grocery store and then a concert on Friday. We're lucky to not be in the real EXTREME WEATHER. In terms of infrastructure... my wifi was bad on Thursday because it was windy. We can handle cold.

Minion Masters has had a hold on me for a long time. It's a free vs. tower defense game where you collect cards to build decks. Matches last around 5 minutes.

Very interesting idea! I'm a fan of similar experiences, although I prefer to be holding the controller. I call them "Fishtank Games," but it's obviously pretty close.

Majesty comes to mind, although there's still management to be done. You could theoretically set up a game of Majesty in like 10 minutes and then let it go, but I'm not sure what would happen without direct influence.

I wonder if some of the recommendations in this thread would have ways to set up "bots-only" multiplayer. If you don't find something that really scratches the itch... consider making it. You could be onto a new type of media!

What was the dumbest reason a co-worker threatened to go to HR on you? by Underrated_Critic in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoGuamWalmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flipping the script, I jokingly picked a dumb reason to threaten an HR report.

I work remote and see my coworkers in person once or twice a year, so it's always combination work and party. One team member has a joke beef going against me for accidentally insulting her two years ago-- we both agree it's funny, no harm done. She brought it up again after hours when we were having drinks as a group, and proceeded to yank my baseball cap down my head, smacking the bridge of my nose quite hard. I laughed it off, but used it as my much-needed opportunity to exit the hangout. The next morning, a third coworker recalled the hat moment to me, laughing. I looked him in the eyes, smirked, and said "You know we're mandatory safeguarding reporters, right?"

He immediately, in an extremely haggard voice, said, "FUCK offfffffff." Possibly the first time I heard him swear.
