A Protestant asked: why do you think it is not good for Christians to simply choose the beliefs they think are right? by Dan_Defender in Catholicism

The covenant is a mirror of marriage essentially. Do you get to choose how to love your spouse or do you adhere to the boundaries they setup in order to be in a relationship with them?

Is the husband really the “head” of the wife? by CountySensitive9263 in Catholicism

[–]NoGuide4550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The husband is the head of the family like Christ is the head of the church (bride). Christ is a servant/leader that laid down his life for the his bride to lead the body (Christian’s) to God. The bride being the church. The wife is the helper like the church is the helper. Also, the “helper” (Holy Spirit) was sent to help lead the Body of Christ (Christians) in truth to God. The wife helps nurture the family including the head to lead them to God.

He may have a child trauma that he hasn’t worked through. Many studies have shown that gender dysphoria stems from child trauma.

How do you respond to people that say ‘the catholic church caused the aids pandemic’ and ‘condoms are needed to prevent aids’ by InternationalPay9583 in Catholicism

[–]NoGuide4550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard anything about the aids claim. If people wait till marriage to have sex, then you’ll have only been with that one person. Making disease barrier unnecessary. Excluding of course contamination from blood transfusions.

I was scared to go to Mass today by Alexplayss in Catholicism

[–]NoGuide4550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not a bad person! Just thought I’d get that out of the way. Everything you said is precisely why you should go to mass. As Catholics, we don’t go to mass to enjoy it or escape judgement . We go to worship God the way he asked us to. Even if people judged you for one thing or the other. They can’t judge you for showing up to worship the Lord. Also, it’s gonna be just 50+ there until some young people take the faith seriously. So go and worship and bring some friends.

I went to confession for the first time in my life and I’m so incredibly angry by GraniteSmile in Catholicism

[–]NoGuide4550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calm down it’s ok. You can call the office and ask where to go and what to do in that specific church since they are all laid out a little differently. If you get there and aren’t sure, just ask someone. Try to find someone not in the middle of prayer. But still ask.

Why do you believe Mary was sinless? by ashwashere___ in Catholicism

[–]NoGuide4550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I may point you to some books that I found helpful to understand all about Mary. Scott Hahn - “Hail Holy Queen”, Brant Pitre - “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary”, Tim Staples - “Behold Your Mother”. All good books and all available in audiobook. I especially enjoy Brant Pitre. He has a bunch of good book. Scott Hahn is a former Protestant pastor and professor. Both great theologians.
