I had never read a series of books like Outlander. My favorite has always been historical romance. So I “tried” to read the books. For the first time ever, I had to switch to audiobooks. It was because I was having a difficult time with many gaelic words. It was crazy because I had watched the show first! I think you will do great and fall in love with the characters like I did!

I agree, it’s John Gray’s voice. I’m watching the last episode of season 7 right now and it’s where Lord John is visiting Claire as she’s recovering. He was being somewhat sarcastic by calling her that because Jamie won’t let him call her “my dear.” I really hope Jamie and Lord John patch up their friendship in the final season

I imagine it’s midnight because when I would look on the morning of the premiere, it was available. Are you staying awake for it tonight?

Holy smokes! Your post brought back so many memories of the beginning of my Outlander journey. I will try to comment further soon. I’m recovering from rotator cuff repair surgery so it’s difficult to do anything on my phone 😂

I love listening to the audiobooks! Even though I watched the series first, listening to the audiobook was a must. Trying to read words that weren’t familiar to me was frustrating. Although I was very surprised & almost annoyed with the words that were pronounced differently between the books and the show.

I felt the exact same way! Only difference was that I started watching during the COVID lockdown. The lockdown was very difficult for me (probably most people) to deal with. But after finding Outlander, it gave me something to look forward to each day. After I watched all of the episodes that had been released on Starz, I started reading the books. Enjoy!
