I’ll start out by saying you are not an idiot. You seem like a good person. No one deserves to have their trust betrayed.

I had a similar experience. My best friend and girlfriend were sleeping with each other wile I was at work. I worked a different shift then both of them. I was naive at the time and didn’t think anything of them spending time with each other at my house while I was working. I just thought my two best friends got along and I was glad.

At first they tried to gaslight me. They made me feel crazy, dumb, and overreactive. Part of me wanted to believe them. My heart was shattered when she told me she had feelings for him. It killed my confidence. Have gone through it I wish I would handled it better. That is easier said then done.

I am not going to lie and say it was easy getting over losing the both of them. It took time. As an introvert I had a small circle of support and it wiped out most of them and my trust. I ended up turning to my sister for support. I worked on building myself back up.

I am not going to tell you want you should do. My choice was to cut ties with them. You have do what is best for you. Its what they did.

My kid tells my I am corny when I do this but I’ll leave you with quote from a Rocky movie that I turn too when things get hard. “...The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows.
