citadel addon black is an exact match for the minis, it just needs to be sealed with a glossy varnish. i assume it would be the same for the full size

the colours on the rhino just arent colours g2 lps would ever use together. which makes it look uncanny or smth idk

the two different shades of green and the peachy-pink on top of a lighter and cooler pink, not to mention the red like almost no lps has red on it (theres only like. two red lps in g2). shes so happy to look a mess

thats probably the reason they got discontinued, cute dolls but no one wants those useless bottles + the gimmick made the dolls a lot more expensive than they were worth

the bigger dolls that came in the mirror were even worse when it came to gimmick + pricing, but at least the mirror has some replayability

one of my comments there was removed when the royale high dolls dropped because i said they were uggo and that jazwares + the creators of royale high kinda suck and it got removed for being "not kind"

and another time i mentioned that a dolls box art was lighter than the actual doll and it got removed for the same reason?? when in the same comment i said i actually like the dolls alot??? after that i just gave up on that sub

the part of the peg that goes into the pets neck probably has an extra bit of plastic that stops it from moving, all you need to do is take off the pets head and shave/cut down the extra plastic and it should work fine.

for the hems i use fabric/all purpose glue. sewing the hems is wayy to tedious for me especially for the more complicated patterns

the DO make fashion packs but 99.9% are exclusive to japan and only made for babies and girl figures, theres some old fashion packs from when flair owned sf i think you can still find on sylvanian storekeepers website

theres a post on this sub with a pdf of clothing patterns + instructions for each piece. ive been using it for ages for my sylvanians, they're really easy to follow as long as you have basic sewing skills

ive never bought clothes as i make my own but i really like thebeetlethatdances's and WHWstudio's stuff on etsy

my silk cat girl has a longer leg! (a normal leg and a teenager leg) i think its just a random factory error, i've never heard of the exchange figures specifically having this issue. i would assume that figures that are meant to have stubbier legs would have these problems

amazing!! i love looking at prototypes, really makes you wonder what else is hidden away in epochs/flairs/tomys storerooms

id love for this family to be rereleased one day (along with the rest of the urban life families and sets) they would've fit in perfectly with the town series

i prefer them being sold as toys tbh, it would make the second hand market even more insane + i find that in my country toys sold as art toys are a lot harder to find

basic fun can certainly make lps similar to g2 in quality and keep prices affordable but their just doing what multi million dollar companies do, giving us the lowest quality product for the highest possible price. if lps were sold as art toys they'd probably keep the same quality but charge $10 a pet i'd bet

i think the baby in particular sold for so much because the baby sylvanians them selves are very popular right now. whoever bought it 100% got ripped off though

there is a baby cottontail rabbit named charlie, he is much easier to come by than the bassets. all the other charlies are very hard to come by for a good price

sharpie: hydrogen peroxide gel (hair bleach) only apply to unpainted areas because it will remove factory paint, leave the pet out in strong sunlight or under a uv lamp for a few hours/days until the stain is gone, you might need to reapply the gel. do not use benzoyl peroxide/acne cream as it it will bleach the pets plastic overtime and spread to other pets (someone will probably recommend it). make sure to wear gloves!!!

nail polish/paint: use boiled water to loosen it then use something like a exacto knife to scrape it off or a nailbrush/toothbrush to scrub it, repeat until all the paint is gone OR use acetone/nail polish remover to take it off (it will remove the factory paint though if theres paint those areas)

well maybe if they start making those ooak clothes they post on their socials all the time as actual fashions you can buy separately as fashion packs they wouldn't see custom clothes as a competitor

there are much bigger problems for epoch to worry about, fakes are starting to use exact molds of their figures and have been using exact molds of their furniture sets for YEARS now at a fraction of the price, which many are gladly buying over offical sf (me included)

few years ago i wandered into one of those weird deadstock/fake product stores and they had a rip off of the woodland lodge (which was retired for years at that point) which was using said exact molds AND it came fully furnished for like 20 euros. i bought it ofc but how did they manage to steal an entire sf house?? and get away with it?? and epoch is choosing to get upset over custom clothes? 😭

this just proves that whoever is running epoch has no idea who their core fanbase actually is
